Beat the Streets Baltimore executive director Lydell Henry said support from the fundraiser helps the organization continue programming for students across the city. The nonprofit uses wrestling as part of a broader model that includes academics and personal development.

Baltimore ARMY organizer Phyllis Krasnokutsky said the partnership was intentional and pointed to @bts.bighitofficial’s longtime messaging around self-love and mental health as part of why the group chose @btsbaltimore.

Fundraising tied to BTS and ARMY has appeared in different forms over the years. BTS and UNICEF’s “Love Myself” anti-violence campaign, launched in 2017, has raised millions of dollars globally.

Suga’s concert day started a little differently.

Before @bts.bighitofficial performed at Stanford Stadium, he had already finished San Francisco’s Bay to Breakers, a 7.5-mile race that has been running through the city since 1912.

During a post-show livestream, fellow members shared that @agustd woke up around 6 a.m. after hearing about the race while BTS was in the Bay Area. Race results later showed he finished in 1:04:43 and placed 1,022nd overall before heading back to prepare for the show that night.

Some runners later said they only realized Suga had joined the race after photos and videos from the event began circulating online.

This post is presented by @sonfishsauce, a Vietnamese American family business rooted in tradition and craft. Click link in bio for more info.

Growing up in Seattle after coming from Vietnam, Quyen says he often saw Vietnamese food served in smaller neighborhood spaces.

When he opened Anchovies & Salt, he wanted Vietnamese food to have a place at weddings, anniversaries and business dinners too.

The restaurant now hosts gatherings of all kinds along the Lake Washington waterfront, from family meals to large celebrations. It also uses robots to help run food, though Quyen says they support staff rather than replace hospitality.

“In Vietnamese culture, food is how we show love,” he said.

Peter Chan is the kind of restaurant owner people remember.

For about 40 years, he ran Peter’s Chinese Cafe in Denver’s Congress Park neighborhood. He was loud, direct, funny and sometimes grumpy. But that was part of why people loved him.

Chan opened the restaurant in 1985. It became a Denver favorite for Chinese American comfort food, especially sesame chicken.

Regulars knew him as the guy behind the counter yelling orders, talking to customers and running the restaurant his way.

In early 2025, Chan retired after selling the restaurant to seven longtime employees instead of outside buyers. Some had worked with him for nearly 30 years, according to Westword.

“My employees have been with me for so long,” Chan told Westword. “They deserve every penny from us. Without them, I wouldn’t have been successful.”

Peter’s Chinese Cafe is located at 2609 E. 12th Ave., Denver, CO 80206.

Noto Satoyama Airport is not one of Japan’s biggest airports.

It serves the Noto Peninsula, a region still rebuilding after the 2024 earthquake. Starting this July, it will temporarily take on a new identity through a collaboration tied to Pokémon and regional tourism.

The launch also lands on July 7, the same date the airport opened back in 2003.

Officials say the project will include Pokémon-themed travel experiences across the region, extending beyond the airport itself.

This post is presented by @journeyoptics, founded by Taiwanese American entrepreneur Bryan Tarn. Journey Optics is now live, click the link in bio to explore the launch.

Journey Optics started with a problem Bryan had been dealing with for years.

After a mountain biking ride in May 2021, he realized many sunglasses marketed as “Asian fit” still followed the same basic frame design and never fully solved the problem for people with low nose bridges or higher cheekbones.

What followed was more than two years of research, hundreds of prototypes and a deep dive into how frames are designed, built and fitted.

Bryan built Journey Optics around a product problem he knew well, and one he felt had been overlooked for too long.

Today, Journey Optics launches with frames designed around what he calls the “geometry of fit,” balancing frame shape, bridge width and angles to sit closer to the face without sliding or resting on the cheeks.

Efren “Bata” Reyes built his career across different styles of pool, including 8-ball, 9-ball, one-pocket and rotation, becoming one of the sport’s most recognized players during the 1990s and 2000s.

In 1999, @efrenthemagician won the World Pool Championship in Cardiff, Wales. Five years later, he won the WPA World 8-Ball Championship, making him the first player to win WPA world titles in two different pool disciplines.

His success also helped bring more international attention to Filipino billiards during a period when Filipino players became widely recognized in international competition.

“Bata” means “kid” in Tagalog, a nickname Reyes reportedly received because another older Efren worked at the same pool hall when he was younger.

Many of Reyes’ matches and shots still circulate online decades later, introducing newer audiences to his career.

A male tourist has been banned from entering the Mount Emei Scenic Area for three years after a viral video showed him pushing a protected Tibetan macaque near a roadside railing in the Leidongping area. Authorities said the man admitted wrongdoing and apologized after an investigation by police and forestry officials.

The scenic area said the tourist violated wildlife protection regulations and was placed on a blacklist for uncivilized behavior. Tibetan macaques are under second-class national protection in China, and officials reminded visitors to keep a safe distance from wild animals and avoid feeding, provoking or harming them.
