as far as dream interviews go…this one is truly one for the books. what an insanely out-of-body moment to interview THE one and only tilda swinton for our nourish issue. one of the things that struck me about our conversation was how she spoke not just with her words, but with her whole being. her fingers drawing scenarios, her eyes darting through memories, her shoulders languidly painting many pictures. and the wealth of deep knowledge she carried—of william blake, of gabrielle chanel, of literature, art, and most of all, of self. there were so many brilliant quotes it was hard to cut, but this one, in all its essence, captures everything.
“i find myself constantly inspired and nourished by the idea of ongoingness—that things continue, that evolution sustains us, that nothing is ever truly finished. i love that. i love artists who explore it. and this is the beauty of long-term collaborations: the image of a tree comes to mind. the most important element is the trunk—the relationship. from the trunk grow the branches, which are the conversations you have. from those conversations emerge the leaves, which are the films. the films or the works themselves are not really the point. it’s the conversation, but above all, it’s the relationship that matters.”

Filing under top 10 moments of my lifetime. Ahead of @dojacat’s first-ever #Vogue cover reveal, we spoke about unfiltered happiness: in music, in self, and in life.
“I think some people look at things and they use certain pieces of pop culture or content to cope with this really messed up world that they live in. The world can be really crazy. Some people have to find something that brings them joy.”

Seven months ago I embarked on my first digital cover shoot. Countless brainstorms, meetings and one flight later, I’m so proud to share @voguesingapore’s October 2023 digital cover graced by the one and only @aliaabhatt. It was such an honour working alongside the brilliant @ashishisshah @nikhilmansata @jasmineashvinkumar and seeing our vision come to life.
I am so eternally grateful to @monkiepoo for believing in me and for always offering guidance, support and encouragement. Thank you for trusting us with this!
And to my unwilling cousin @sushichan_ thank you for the many conversations, affirmations and sparks of inspiration no matter the hour.

if you went to the school of jack and lazaro, raise your hand! for our latest issue, built around the theme of nomad, i had the VERY surreal opportunity to sit down exclusively with @jackmccollough and @lazro as they build a new @loewe: 180 years of craft, one very sold-out amazona 180 and a whole new chapter that they casually described to me as “a thriller”.
before nomad was an idea, it was already how so many of us experienced fashion. the fact that two designers in new york could shape the taste, dreams and obsessions of an entire legion of fashion lovers in singapore in the early noughties feels like nomadism in its essential form.
and so this story felt like the issue in miniature: fashion as movement, archive to future, anti-it bag to the one-handle icon. all of this ahead of the incredible news that the loewe craft prize making its south east asian and singapore debut at the national gallery singapore on 13 may.
such a beautiful issue by @monkiepoo @jumbotsui @koncaayan @mystrangeanarchy and of course a dream working with the incredible @loewe team @urbanitestyle @natsss @esabellemarie @ohmywyo 💛

before nomad was an idea, it was already how so many of us experienced fashion. the fact that two designers in new york could shape the taste, dreams and obsessions of an entire legion of fashion lovers in singapore in the early noughties feels like nomadism in its essential form.
and so this story felt like the issue in miniature: fashion as movement, archive to future, anti-it bag to the one-handle icon. all of this ahead of the incredible news that the loewe craft prize making its south east asian and singapore debut at the national gallery singapore on 13 may.
such a beautiful issue by @monkiepoo @jumbotsui @koncaayan @mystrangeanarchy and of course a dream working with the incredible @loewe team @urbanitestyle @natsss @esabellemarie @ohmywyo 💛

if you went to the school of jack and lazaro, raise your hand! for our latest issue, built around the theme of nomad, i had the VERY surreal opportunity to sit down exclusively with @jackmccollough and @lazro as they build a new @loewe: 180 years of craft, one very sold-out amazona 180 and a whole new chapter that they casually described to me as “a thriller”.

had the most special experience with @uniqlo and @uniqlosg to share what i love and to hopefully always make a difference along the way. being a fashion editor means i get to champion people and their stories and the creativity that shapes this industry and that is something i never take for granted.
fashion is truly amazing. and so are my uniqlo t-shirts that i seem to live in forever. i’ll never stop talking about just how much the things we put on our body and the relationships we build with them can make a difference.
so much love to the amazing uniqlo team and the great souls i worked with on this. @bekswho @stardustandbullets @pauleneong

to speak with one of the greatest designers of our time—someone so intrinsically connected to identity and purpose– was something truly special and honestly hard to even put into words. so honoured to have been given this time with @sabyasachiofficial and feel the genuine respect, joy and admiration for him in the room. there was so much generosity and clarity in this conversation and this will always stay with me:
“the brand doesn’t belong to me; it belongs to india. i hope the next generation builds it into the country’s first global luxury super brand. i’ll lay the foundation—they’ll build the future. i remember visiting gaudí’s sagrada família in barcelona. i sat on the pavement and cried. a stranger walked by and said, ‘it happens all the time.’ and i realised why: gaudí is gone, but people are still conspiring to keep his dream alive. when you create with heart, the world helps you carry it forward. that’s what i believe will happen with sabyasachi.”
thank you so much @sabyasachiofficial for this beautiful conversation ❤️

what an absolute honour it was to speak with @prabalgurung, just after the launch of his beautiful new memoir, walk like a girl, for next in vogue 2025. a few chapters in, i remember wondering what he might say to a young prabal who had endured all that he had — and how special it was to hear the answer in person. today, he stands as one of the most celebrated voices in fashion; not only dressing icons, but also uplifting the unheard, staying grounded in grace and championing feminine-leaning people in all their existence.
this conversation was one of hope, of grace, of finding your centre and it felt like a powerful anchor for all that we stand for. endless love and gratitude to you, prabal. ❤️
thank you for the beautiful glam @thevivagroupsg @rolana.lim 💫
