Fringe
legend returns with his first new show in four years. Hilarious stand-up about the human condition, about how little we know about what's going on inside our bodies and our minds, and about what it's like to have an endoscopy on Remembrance Sunday at exactly 11am. Some poems too.

This show is FREE Non-Ticketed, just turn up, grab seat and enjoy the show! All proceeds collected at the end go directly to supporting PBH’s Free Fringe.

This Friday May 22nd Cabaret Impedimenta comes to Brighton Fringe with @liebenspiel at @spiegelgardens A variety of acts have to try and perform, while crazy impediments get in the way. A truly unique cabaret experience.

In 2024 I decided to remount all the comedy solo shows I’d ever done, and do it in rep, at that year’s Edinburgh Fringe at @monkey.barrel.comedy . So, with @impatientproductions’ help, I did it - ten shows, a different show each day, and when I got to the end, I started again. This was a slightly unhinged thing to do, but it went quite well.

So then, I decided to do them all again that autumn in London, but this time over two Sundays, five shows a day, at @thepleasance. This was really daft, but went quite well, although you can see me going a bit loopy during it.

And go faster stripe recorded those ones! And know they’re releasing them one a week until they’re done. If you watch them all, you get to see ten pretty good comedies, AND see a man losing his mind a bit. What’s not to like?

❤️There’s something magical that happens when Barry and Tony take to the stage, which many people comment on. One man in a tie and a hat stands with another man in a tie and a hat, and they talk, and the appeal is in noticing the men are together and not together.

Of course, it’s not just talking that Barry and Tony excel at, they excel at pranks as well. Whether Barry is pranking Tony, or Tony is pranking Barry, funny is on the cards, and while feelings get hurt, it always ends with a song. Barry and Tony don’t kiss, but it always feels like they might.

It’s early days for this deliciously modern double act, although it feels like they’ve been part of popular culture for decades. You can’t help but be excited about what it is this inimitable duo end up doing next.

We made this in… maybe 2010. It occasionally pops up on the internet without credit (imagine! On the internet!) so figured we should put it up here as a sort of claiming of territory.

The voiceover is JLR, the hands are Steve Dawson and JLR. The art design is… I can’t remember, although I (JLR) remember glue-gunning a megachessotron together. The BBC put it online for a while, and then it turned up on TV late night on Red Nose Day - that was one of those things which, like doing a secret policeman’s ball at the Hackney Empire, mademy inner 11 year old self very happy.

Meanwhile, over at @monkey.barrel.comedy Barry and Tony continue their unstoppable rise to the top of the showbiz ladder with a one-night-only extravaganza of pranks, songs and the occasional moment of transcendent performance art.

This will also almost certainly (and inexplicably) sell out so do please book ahead.

Delighted that @slmorgo’s short film Debris will be premiering at @locolondon on Sunday 10th May at 4pm (the dark side slot), and that I star in said short film as “distressed man,” a role I was born to play. I imagine the film is very good, she hasn’t let me watch it yet. But the script was very good.
