⚡️Anna Leong Brophy is debuting at this years Edinburgh Fringe 2026⚡️

Sure, Anna was born the old-fashioned way – a supreme being deposited into a perfect female body who immediately falls for the first man she sees. But what’s next for a sci-fi hottie once she’s saved the world, done the laundry and the years have rolled on by?

2026 BAFTA nominated, Anna Leong Brophy (How to Train Your Dragon, Shadow and Bone, one half of sketch duo EGG) joyfully frolics through the male gaze (yum), aging (gross) and sexy, sexy sci-fi, all while covered in goo.

‘Just perfect’ ★★★★ (Chortle)
★★★★ (Fest)

Ok so this is post worthy… I’m completely over the moon to have been BAFTA nominated for my work on @shaunthesheep, and what makes it even better is how fun the job was! A writers room with loads of actual women (and women of COLOUR!) in it, an amazing supportive team, and I was encouraged to take the idea (multiverse Mossy Bottom!) and run with it- so much so @aardmananimations trusted me with the first ever Shaun the Sheep double episode 🐑🐑

That’s all for now. Off to find a suit that sets the red carpet ALIGHT 🔥

Three weeks ago we booked flights to Malaysia in the middle of the night to rush to my mum’s side. She had had a stroke on the way to dinner. We arrived after a successful surgery. Mum woke up, told us how much she loved us, how she appreciated us coming and how much she’d enjoyed the floating market in Bangkok. We told her we loved her and we would see her tomorrow. But devastatingly, she had two further strokes and never regained consciousness. After two weeks vigil by her bedside, we lost her last Wednesday.

It’s impossible to say how surreal it feels. My mum was the most dynamic, energetic (some might say relentless!) person you could ever meet. She was the hostess with the mostess, a social butterfly, the most unstoppably generous person. She did Pilates, walked dogs, cooked feasts, organised trips, sang in choirs. She’d just started learning the piano. Some might say it was eerie that, in Feb, she threw a big joint birthday party with my dad and invited all our UK friends and family, then went off on a tour of all of her friends and family in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Singapore, Penang and Thailand, concluding right before her stroke, literally meeting up with everyone she knew and loved before passing. But for my mum, that wasn’t out of the ordinary. She lived life to the full, and the people in her life were everything to her.

I arrived back home yesterday and found a parcel waiting- my mum had sent me an Easter gift of fizz and chocolate, with a note of love. Just mum being mum.

So here’s to Stella. Rest in power. Thank you. I’m so lucky to have had you as my mum 🌟

Valentine’s Day seems like a good time to post overdue honeymoon photos, right? Spent a couple of weeks in the sunshine, drinking beer, eating seafood, playing cards and doing absolutely naff all else. 10/10, can now confidently recommend honeymoons. 🍯🌝💛

Anna Leong Brophy takes a joyful frolic through the male gaze (yum), aging (gross) and sexy, sexy sci-fi, all while covered in blue goo.

Sure, Anna was born the old-fashioned way - an all-powerful Supreme Being spontaneously deposited in a perfect female human body who immediately falls in love with the first man she sees. But once you’ve saved the world and the years roll by, it’s hard not to start asking the tough questions.

Anna Leong Brophy (How to Train Your Dragon, Shadow & Bone, one half of sketch duo EGG) takes a joyful frolic through the male gaze (yum), aging (gross) and sexy, sexy sci-fi, all while covered in blue goo.

PRAISE FOR EGG:

“Superior Fare” ★★★★ The List

“Supremely confident” ★★★★ The Skinny

“infectiously fun” ★★★★ Three Weeks

🌻19.07.25🌻
Have spent the last two weeks processing what was the most joyful weekend - marrying the love of my life in beautiful surroundings witnessed by absolute solid gold legends. Reeeal pinch me I’m dreaming stuff. I also did NOT know where to start with the photos so here are a few our amazing photographer @luanwedding sent us in the days following. I think it just about comes across that I’m having a GREAT TIME 😂

(Apologies in advance for the uncharacteristic deluge of pics to come!)

We made it legal! Yesterday we had our legal wedding ceremony with some key players who can’t make the main event. All these heroes, a dog healer, the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s AND it’s not even the main event? My hangover says otherwise 🤠
