Love, safety and belonging. The right to exist without fear.
Since 1992, LGBTQ+ communities have been at the heart of everything we do. They've advocated when it was dangerous. Built when systems failed them. Cared when no one else would.
As anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric spreads in many countries across the world, that work matters more than ever.
The work isn't finished. Neither are we.

This week, 3,300 young women in sub-Saharan Africa will find out they have HIV. And next week. And the week after.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Long-acting injectable PrEP changes the equation.
“We only get one chance to do this right,” says our CEO, @AnneAslett and @Unitaid Executive Director, Philippe Duneton, on the breakthrough we cannot afford to waste.

In the United States, overdose is a leading cause of preventable death among Black adults.
But it shouldn’t be. Naloxone can reverse an overdose in minutes. It’s safe. It’s simple. And it saves lives.
One year ago, we partnered with @VitalStrategies to launch ‘You Have the Power to Save Lives’ - a national campaign bringing naloxone awareness and access directly into Black communities across seven U.S. cities hardest hit by the overdose crisis.
The message was clear: the community leads.
And it works. Real impact. Real lives saved.

“I can still love you. I can still help you.”
For Nicole, Program Manager at @beataids, these aren't just words. They're a promise she makes to every client, no matter what they're carrying when they walk through the door.
Through our funding, BEAT AIDS are receiving trauma-informed care training from the @uh_socialwork, strengthening how the team shows up for each client’s needs.
When communities are heard, trust is built, stigma breaks down, and care becomes more accessible and effective.
By working with partners around the world, like @uh_socialwork, we’re building solutions shaped by the people they’re meant to serve, bringing us closer to ending AIDS.

What if the barrier to care was the care itself?
Trauma-informed practice changes that.

Trauma shapes how – and whether – people access care.
That’s why trauma-informed care is essential.
We partnered with @uh_socialwork to fund a trauma-informed care curriculum helping strengthen HIV services so they are safer, more inclusive and responsive to people’s needs.
Because we won’t make progress if the people who need care most still face barriers.
