Animation from 2016 to explain the 3D nature of my digital painting process. People didn’t know what they were looking at. The painting associated with this animation was shown at @somersethouse in London as part of my exhibition ‘Healing with Wounds’.

Cities have long provided fertile ground for collectives, but how has London catalysed their work?

We bring together three influential London collectives – the Grey Organisation, !WOWOW! and Muslim Sisterhood – to discuss how collective practice emerges in response to specific urban conditions.

Panellists including Toby Mott (@culturaltraffic) of the Grey Organisation, Lamisa Khan (@trustmebaba) of Muslim Sisterhood (@muslimsisterhood), and Matthew Stone (@matthewstoneart) of !WOWOW! – will present short films, followed by a discussion chaired by event curator Nina Manandhar (@warriorprintess).

🗓️ Wed 17 Jun, 6:30pm

It’s been inspiring to watch politicians with an apparent level of integrity and directness take on what’s happening in the UK. So I have joined the @thegreenparty and I think you should too!

Inspired by @emmadabiri post announcing the same.

Alessandro Moreschi, the last castrato of the Sistine Chapel, recorded Ave Maria in 1902. It was captured on wax cylinder and early shellac disc, sound formats introduced in the late nineteenth century. The excerpt used here contains only the instrumental introduction, not his voice

Matthew Stone’s Staggered Paintings blur the line between body, image, and surface — painting stretched, layered, and fractured into something physical and alive.
