A whirlwind of gigs, new faces, meeting crews. What an incredible year it's been so far. We wrap up for the year to take some time off to reflect on the journey and to discover what's next.

Laneway 138 is bringing in some talent from Geelong with @two.petty and @bugg.au providing the majority of the entertainment for the evening at the beloved @fiftyfive_bar, bringing some groove and a b2b you don't want to miss, some funky visuals for good measure too.

Sharing a piece of my North Star as I’m beginning this journey to learn and bring taonga pūoro into my music.

Here are a few kupu (words) that help bring this kaupapa to life:

• Taonga Pūoro - traditional Māori instruments, each with their own whakapapa (genealogy) and stories.
• Mauri - the life force, essence, or spark that exists in all living things.
• Kaupapa - a guiding purpose or values-based approach.
• Tūpuna - ancestors, those who came before us.

These are the pou (pillars) holding me steady on this path. 🌿✨
