Congratulations to @millyfmedia, winner of this year’s Alice Guy Blaché Film Award and to all the students who worked so hard to make such brilliant films!

‘Solace’ moved every single one of us. It’s exactly the kind of film this award exists to celebrate, bold, human and brilliant!

The performances from @blaithwaite.film and @hdoherty_77 were simply brilliant and as non-actors both are now considering this path after seeing such an amazing reaction to their work!

The Alice Guy Blaché Award exists to shine a light on the next generation of filmmakers, and Milly’s work is a reminder of just how bright that future is. We are so honoured to be able to champion talent like this. 🎬✨

@ouijagooutwithme has been selected at @boltonfilmfest this weekend. It was wonderful to attend on Friday 3rd and was selected a bunch of great northern films. @matt_setlife will be there today and representing for @eyupfilms. The film will also be played Sunday 5th.
Was great hanging out with director/writer @himynameiskennedy for the day.

Notes from our judging panel: This is exactly what we have come to expect from this incredibly talented team - raw and poignant stories delivered in a dark and bleak, yet beautiful way! The collaborative force of Paul and his DOP James continues to deliver films that blow us away - this cinematography is on another level! It is the end of this film that sets Paul apart from the other nominated Directors - it gets more impressive the more you watch it, and it will stay with us for a long time.
