Hey guys, happy new year to everyone!
I haven’t updated anyone from the end of last year about the swim.
Firstly,
I want to thank Adam for letting me use the facility and also for his continued support as a friend and a coach.
To Adam, Ellis, Matt and Iain who were in the water keeping me going.
I also want to thank those who gave money and supported me the whole way through.

I had a challenging time trying to swim that distance in those conditions.
I did my best but the water was 16.1 degrees and the cold got to me.
I would have carried on if I could, but my team pulled me out for my safety.

I felt crushed that I couldn’t finish and was a huge upset to me, I want more than anything to do my best. So this bugged me a lot!

Positives are though, I raised £6200 with gift aid for cerebral palsey plus, which I’m delighted with. So thanks to all for their donations!

I would like to redo the swim if I can find a pool that would accommodate me and the challenge, so if anyone knows of a facility where I could do this that would be great! Happy to pay for use as well!

Ashley Jenkins did 1.5k yesterday in 16.1 degrees water temperature. It was the most incredible thing to witness. He would have done more but we got him out due to the temperature. So proud of my friend!!!!

I am really sorry everyone. I just couldn’t get it done on Friday. I’m blown away by all the generous donations and supportive messages. if you still wish to donate the fundraising page will be open until the 5th of October. A link is in my bio.

Come and support Ashley on his 3 mile swim challenge!

By kind permission of the owners, Ashleys 3 mile challenge will be taking place at the Ocean Walker Academy and Wellbeing Centre in Lincolnshire.

Date: Friday 5th Sept 2025

Time: 12pm-5pm

Venue: Ocean Walker Academy, Hoop Lane, Langton By Wragby, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, LN8 5QB

Ash’s challenge will begin at 7am, with access for spectators from 12pm until 5pm.

There is car parking onsite, toilets and outdoor seating.

You will be required to sign in at reception and sign out when you leave.

This is an OUTDOOR VENUE, with no indoor or undercover areas, so please ensure you are dressed for the outdoors and all weather conditions.

The venue has drinks and cakes available for purchase (cash only), but there is no restaurant/food.

Any children must be kept under close supervision at all times by parent/guardians.

There are no activities available to book on this date as the only event running will be Ashleys challenge and we ask that spectators wishing to support Ash abide by the venue rules to ensure a safe and smooth event.

This venue has resident water rescue dogs, and they may be present at any time of the day during the event. For this reason the venue does not allow any other dogs onsite.
