Passionné de la culture mondiale des soundsystems, 𝐉𝐨𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡 a développé sa carrière musicale entre Grenade et Peckham où il a cofondé Cotch International, label et série d’events qui mettent en avant les talents émergents des 4 coins du globe et qui occupe une place importante dans la nightlife londonienne. Comme en témoigne sa résidence sur NTS, les sets de Joe, riches en polyrythmes, traversent tous les BPM et mettent en avant les cultures undergrounds unies par un sentiment d’urgence et de club beats viscéraux. For the last ten years, Cotch has been dedicated to highlighting underground sounds from across the world, joining the dots between global soundsystem cultures while nurturing the next wave of sonic innovators, all from the depths of London’s basements and industrial warehouses. Supported by Carhartt WIP from day one.

From its origins at Rye Wax in Peckham to its current home at Ormside Projects, Cotch has continued to champion a spectrum of sounds, from overdriven baile funk and kuduro to drill-infused soca; guaracha and industrial dancehall to laser-sharp electro. This exploration has extended beyond London, with events in Johannesburg, Barcelona, and Medellín, alongside regular radio shows and a stream of label releases that have fostered local and global communities alike.

As it steps into its tenth year, Cotch reflects on some of its highlights, with testimonials from those who’ve been along for the ride.
