‘Duppy Know Who Fi Frighten’ is a visual and sound performance that’s a conceptual analysis of the structures that form under the exploitative nature of capitalism, and the desire to fight against the systems that extract and exploit. The title’s use of the Jamaican proverb “Duppy know who fi frighten”, for the purpose of this work, the interpretation being used is: ‘those who exploit know exactly who to target and who not to try’. The piece addresses our proximity to exploitative practices and whether we choose to engage in, or actively move towards creating more hospitable and inclusive environments. (TYGAPAW, 2026)⁠

“My producer brain thought this was the track that would be best suited for her vocals. I hinted, ‘what do you think of this one?’ as we listened to my demos. She went straight into her notes and picked passages to accompany the first section of the track. From there, it became a year-long process of development. It required time and space for this gem to evolve, but I think it’s one of the most powerful tracks on the album.” — TYGAPAW.⁠

It’s increasingly apparent that we no longer have the luxury to carry on business as usual. As an artist the one thing I can do is create art that reflect the times. Having to release an album while the world is under siege is not a comfortable position, but what I’m grateful for is that I’m an artist that speaks the truth through my music. And what I have created with my 3rd album “Together You Gather All Power Applied Worldwide” is a sonic cry for Black queer and trans liberation, and ultimately the liberation of all marginalized people’s. My music is here to activate you.

Defiantly refusing to be silenced and erased, I’m breaking through the chaos with my 3rd single released today and it’s one of my favorite tracks from the album featuring the one and only @julianahuxtable , with a vocal performance that takes my composition to the absolute next level 🔥. “Exorcise The Language of Domination” took a year to complete due to our busy tour schedules, but this collaboration was ordained and destined to be delivered to you. Take a moment to listen, digest and process this music.
