What a day. Absolute honor to showcase Korean cuisine on the @todayshow this morning with @alroker @sheinelle_o @craigmelvinnbc. Turned out it was the Lee Takeover with the amazing Greta Lee on the same show. Still in a bit of a daze but I’m amazed by all the work done day in and day out for this show, and huge thanks to everyone involved. Special thanks to @ms_cfang @jamienguyentv for pushing to make this happen!

What it made it even more special was to have @nataliepark05 by my side the entire time. I would’ve been a pile of nerves without her here and I’m so happy we could share this special day together.

Some memories from another eventful year with the person I’m lucky enough to call my wife.

No matter who you are, life still isn’t “normal” these days. I say I’m lucky because Natalie has not only been there to support me when I’m down, but she’s been an inspiration to me on a daily basis with her strength, compassion, and advocacy for others less fortunate. She has turned me into a better person, that’s as simple as I can put it.

Thank you @nataliepark05 for simply being you, and @boo_ju_ also told me this morning that you’re their favorite. Happy anniversary!

It’s premiere day! #TakeOutWithLisaLing is now available to stream on @hbomax. Here’s a quick clip from the episode (ep 6, “Korean American Dream”) my mother and I are in, but I hope you watch all six episodes of this amazing series.

Thank you to @lisalingstagram and @helencho for creating such a powerful show, one that represents survival and growth of the Asian community in America. It’s an absolute honor to represent the Korean community in this episode along with incredible people like @paulysong @jbrekkie @kimchi.juice @kogiyabbq. Our hope is that fellow Asian Americans can watch this entire series and feel proud of our respective cultures instead of hiding them.

And yes, in the beginning of the show you can catch a glimpse of me singing Purple Rain in the karaoke room 😬

Washington DC was real special 🤙🏽⁠

Big mahalo to my guy @dannyleedc and the whole team at @eventsattheshell + @ieggyou for putting together such a fun dinner inspired by recipes from ‘Ohana Style. The team brought their own spin to the dishes and it was cool seeing the cookbook come to life in different ways.⁠

I pulled up, talked story, signed books all night, bounced table to table, met so many good people, and just soaked it all in.⁠

Nights like this remind me why I wanted to do this tour in the first place. Grateful for the hospitality, the food, and everybody who came through.
