Connecting people, places and ideas.

One month until opening, Elly Fishman (@elly__fish) for The New York Times (@nytimes) featured artist Mark Bradford (@markbradfordart) and his monumental commission for the Obama Presidential Center (@obamafoundation): "City of the Big Shoulders."
Bradford’s monumental 38-foot painting engages deeply with Chicago’s history of migration, mapping structural racism and urban resilience through layered ephemera of Black life.
“We are always looking for place, trying to find our place,” he said. “I want people to lay their stories on top of the map.” In that sense, he added, “it can be what you want it to be. The painting becomes yours.”
The work joins an extraordinary roster of contemporary artists curated by Virginia Shore (@vshorev), under the direction of Louise Bernard (@louisebernard_of), including Kiki Smith, Jenny Holzer, and Chicago’s Theaster Gates and Nick Cave. Together, the site-specific works reflect the Obamas’ belief that art belongs at the heart of civic life.

Now open @woltertonpark two exhibitions where contemporary art meets 18th-century Palladian grandeur.
'Phyllida Barlow: disruptor' — over 70 works spanning five decades from the late British sculptor, whose plywood, plaster and scrim constructions press against Wolterton's marble and stone with awkward, precarious force.
'Daisy Parris: Fist Full of Dreams' — new paintings inspired by the Norfolk landscape, alongside the artist's first large-scale textile installation, Kiss the Storm, bringing raw emotion and grit to the Hall's formal interiors.
📍 Until 31 October 2026

@CasaBatlloContemporary and @FundacioMiro present a major new exhibition exploring three defining Catalan figures of the 20th century: Antoni Gaudí, Joan Miró, and Joaquim Gomis.
Opening 8 July 2026, Gaudí, Miró, Gomis: Deconstructed is the second exhibition at Casa Batlló Contemporary, the new space within @CasaBatllo dedicated to reinterpreting Gaudí’s legacy through contemporary creation.
Co-organised with Fundació Joan Miró and developed with creative studio @TomorrowBureau, the exhibition combines original works by Miró, photographs by Gomis, and newly commissioned digital installations incorporating photogrammetry, animation, sound, 3D scanning, and generative AI.
The exhibition positions Gaudí, Miró, and Gomis within a shared creative world shaped by Barcelona, nature, experimentation, and materiality, drawing new links between architecture, art, and contemporary technology.
