This 100% donation of all sales could not have been possible without the hard work and generosity of our crew, the enormous amount of paper donated by our friends @legionpaper and of course, the incredible artwork donated by the nine artists below that asked for nothing in return besides the chance to be a symbol of hope and charity during these catastrophic fires. Today we’d like to take a moment and thank @galleries1988 for everything they have done for the art community in Los Angeles and beyond. All of us in the studio were saddened to hear about the closing of the gallery that has discovered, cultivated and supported so many artists we consider friends and family for 22 years. It would be difficult to recall how many of them celebrated their first group exhibition, first gallery sale and even their first solo exhibitions during that incredible run!

What Katie and Jensen built over two decades ago continues to influence the art world, bringing a legitimacy and respectability to pop culture artwork that had often been dismissed and disrespected. Many artists and galleries were able to thrive from the opportunities they created and the genre they helped bring into homes around the world. Thank you to Katie for continuing to trust us with G1988 projects for all these years, we will miss collaborating with you though we know you’ll be doing amazing things in the future. We’ll be here if you need us!

To say thank you and share some positivity, we’d love for anyone that ever showed artwork at G1988, purchased a piece of art from them or simply enjoyed any of the artists they helped give a platform, to leave a message, share a favorite exhibition, post a photo from an opening, or any of their art in your home.
