Hello New Orleans, I'm BACK (for ten days) baby!!! Rolled in last night with @sootandstain and my very cute and confused doggy and I've already had nostalgia trips from @pizzadelicious, @parleauxbeerlab, and @pagoda_cafe. The real trip is tonight at @snugjazz_nola though, where the Royal Roses will assemble and play together in town for the first time in TWO DAMN YEARS. I'm having lots of feelings today, but I'm mostly just happy to be back in my beloved New Orleans.

This track was written in March 2020 during the whiskey mornings of an uncertain reality.

Love and thanks to Luke Dennis and Matt Perrine for lending their talent and magnificence to give this creation life. This project was created through virtual communications in living-rooms of Santa Fe, Los Angeles and New Orleans.

Finally back home and in the rhythm of normal (hahahahaha) life again forthe first time in what feels like forever. Samantha and I did our year end excursion in Italy(!) this year and it certainly didn’t disappoint. 2 weeks in Venice with day trips to Bologna and a couple wineries (shout out to our new friends at @yeasteria_ve and @sieman_winery_and_brewery ) in the region was a surreal and educational adventure. Always happy to be home though, and I’m more than looking forward to reconnecting with friends and playing some goddamn trombone in a city that truly loves it. I missed you, New Orleans!
