Huge thanks to everyone who brought their energy and made the 𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺, 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺, 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺, and 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 come alive.
From performances and installations to live music and cozy corners to connect, the night wrapped up with everyone dancing together in the 809 Studio: the perfect close to 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 of this summer edition!

Join us on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟬 for the last 𝟴𝟬𝟵𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 before a short summer break!
Thank you to everyone who has been there these last months: for showing up, bringing your energy and carrying this forward together.

For this edition, we’re testing something that was our wish for a long time: an (𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩) 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣.

Amsterdam has a rich dance scene: multiple communities, multiple styles, already in dialogue. We truly believe that what genre is playing shouldn’t define whether we share the floor, regardless of our dance background, and we want to create more intentional space for that.

𝟱 𝗗𝗝𝘀. 𝟰 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿.

@monicastattoos opens with 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, @jada.vanmildert brings 𝗛𝗶𝗽-𝗛𝗼𝗽, @yoli.wofwof takes it to 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗸, and our beloved resident DJs @pandapolli and @37justharvey close the night with a 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝟮𝗕.

𝟴𝟬𝟵𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 was always meant to be that space, and this edition is a deliberate step toward it.

At the end of April, 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 will have the honor of welcoming a quintet from 𝗢𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 (Seoul, South Korea) for a residency in the Netherlands.

With over 25 years of experience nurturing neurodiverse musical excellence, 𝗢𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 travels outside Korea every April — Autism Awareness Month — to share 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜: the Korean word for Love.

This residency is about more than concerts. It’s about community connection, bringing the ensemble into contact with local musicians, audiences, and organizations working around disability and inclusion.

The 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘁 (@sarangquintet) presents two public concerts as part of this residency — 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜 (𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙆𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙖): a program of classical string quartets, traditional folk songs, spirituals, and sing-along tunes. The quintet features three selected members on the autism spectrum from 𝗢𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮, along with two volunteer teachers (Conductor and Pianist).
They invite you to a moment of sharing: come as you are, whether you are a musician, someone who relates to their story, or simply a curious listener.

A night of exchange, release, music and learning from one another.
Thank you to everyone who brought their energy and groove, turning the 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝘅 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 into the special journey it came out to be: a collective 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 that left its traces in Studio 809 and beyond.

This session starts from the idea that the 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 begins with the (un)finished self. Entering the cypher, this process becomes relational: shaped through listening, response, and shared presence with others and the wider community.

Through moments of conversation and exchange, the session approaches the cypher as both container and teacher within house culture, where the self is reflected, challenged, and affirmed—returning to the circle again and again transformed through collective practice.

This shared journey will begin with a 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 with selector @bevangosling, before moving into a 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 facilitated by @ktawjoeram, together with @itapuusepp, @wanitoe, @leandro_vanenburg & @patty.ova.

For this edition of the 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, we’re working closely with the 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 through a co-curation with 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘃𝗮, curator of @house.dance.amsterdam and founder of @solid.house__

This session starts from the idea that the 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 begins with the (un)finished self. Entering the cypher, this process becomes relational: shaped through listening, response, and shared presence with others and the wider community.

Through moments of conversation and exchange, the session approaches the cypher as both container and teacher within house culture, where the self is reflected, challenged, and affirmed—returning to the circle again and again transformed through collective practice.

This shared journey will begin with a 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 with selector @bevangosling, before moving into a 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 facilitated by @ktawjoeram, together with @itapuusepp, @wanitoe, @leandro_vanenburg & @patty.ova.

From there, our beloved resident DJ @pandapolli will open the floor, inviting everyone into an 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 to dance together, allowing these reflections to continue through movement, music, and exchange.

From collaboration to co-curation, 809 Collaborative Session evolves into 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻!
A co-created space where cultural practice meets academic context, positioning street and club styles practitioners as carriers of history, heritage, wisdom, and community values.

For this edition, we’re working closely with the 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 through a co-curation with 𝗭𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁 and 𝗟𝗼𝗺𝗿𝗼𝗵 ‘𝗕𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲’ 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘀, while also building a bridge toward their upcoming Mini & Maxi event in February.

We’ll explore breaking’s journey in the Netherlands and beyond through an intergenerational 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 on the ‘𝘾𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙚’.
Moderated by @seanwilliam035, together with panelists @roytheruggeds @papa_break1970 @bgirlmolecule @zino_schat we will look at how the cyphers reveal, challenge, and shape the ongoing evolution of breaking culture.

Afterwards, DJs @monicastattoos and @snoucky_dee will open the floor with their records, inviting us all into an 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 to finish the day dancing and exchanging together.

For this edition, we’re working closely with the 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 through a co-curation with 𝗭𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁 and 𝗟𝗼𝗺𝗿𝗼𝗵 ‘𝗕𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲’ 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘀, while also building a bridge toward their upcoming Mini & Maxi event in February.

We’ll explore breaking’s journey in the Netherlands and beyond through an intergenerational 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 on the ‘𝘾𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙚’.
Moderated by @seanwilliam035, together with panelists @roytheruggeds @papa_break1970 @bgirlmolecule @zino_schat we will look at how the cyphers reveal, challenge, and shape the ongoing evolution of breaking culture.

Afterwards, DJs @monicastattoos and @snoucky_dee will open the floor with their records, inviting us all into an 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 to finish the day dancing and exchanging together.

Meet @neonriver_, the band that took over the 𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 of 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝟱 with their “𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵-𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥-𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨” live act.

𝗡𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 is an Amsterdam-based electronic band born about two years ago from the need to create a shared playground to explore different musical landscapes. Drawing on each member’s influences, they’ve built a melting pot where electronic, indie, rock, and jazz blend into a sound that is unmistakably their own.

During 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝟱, they took the centre of the room and brought us along on a full sensory and emotional journey, carried by a smooth mix of crisp textures, inviting melodies, and weightless grooves.

Their 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗣 is set to be released in 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — but the good news is, you can catch Neon River live much sooner:

𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗧: 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗜 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔

Meet @pandapolli, one of the DJs that closed off the 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 and nothing less than our 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗝!

𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 is a genre-fluid, multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam.
Her artistic path began early, rooted in dance, music and theatre. Over time, she explored new ways of expressing herself through sound, experimenting with piano, voice, and poetry before falling in love with the world of electronic music.
Her sound is marked by an ability to merge classic vibes with modern energy, effortlessly blending soulful melodies, hard-hitting beats, and fresh sonic textures.

Polli’s journey with 𝟴𝟬𝟵 began during the second edition of the 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁, where she quickly became a key presence within the community.
Over time, she has grown into a central figure of 𝟴𝟬𝟵 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, and—alongside @37justharvey—now holds the title of 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗝. Together, they consistently deliver the perfect atmosphere to unite the crowd and keep the dance floor alive.

In her interview, Polli spoke about her interest in exploring connection between people, the emotional influence of sound, and the ways music can touch unseen parts of the mind. She also shared how movement and dance continue to shape her approach to DJing and production.
