Hey everyone :)

I’ve made a sample pack for all the music producers out there! I put together a bunch of sounds that I believe encompass this little corner of the dance music world that we find ourselves in. It’s dreamy, resonant, proggy, techy and fun.

All of the sounds (synth, bass, drums etc) you hear on the demo tracks here are straight from the sample pack. Everything has been mixed/ processed how I would usually use them in tracks so they should sit nicely in the mix and be ready to use straight away. Set up a shiny reverb send and the synth lines really start to pop

The demo tracks came together super quickly which I hope is a testament to the usability of these samples. There’s heaps of stuff in there, all up there is:

34 Bass Loops
90 Drum Loops
18 Pad Loops
73 Synth Loops

Anyway, I hope you find as much joy from these samples as I have from putting these together.

Strange Cargo marks the arrival of its inaugural record the way it should always be done. A launch party, on a dancefloor, with friends, at @solace.bar on June 5th. 

Freshly formed project Headhunters will be joined by two of Melbourne’s most beloved pairings.

TBSU founder and Purple-Audio don respectively, Hannah D & Liz bring their own brand of considered, floor-ready techy selections that we know and love. Having made their mark on the scene through Djing, sub sitting and running the cult favourite @moniker, the pair have become two of the most trusted names in the Melbourne underground.

Closing out the evening are Myles Mac & DJ Possum, newlyweds and bona fide power couple. Doing what they always do, effortlessly pulling from a seemingly endless catalogue of deep cuts and thumping house rarities.

The Mojo Rhythm EP presents four tracks, shaped during their recent live sets and reworked for wax, setting the tone for what’s to come.

On the flip, Boorloo’s Guy Contact rolls out Dance In The Grey, a shadowy prog churn pitched between new-romantic vocal sheen and EBM muscle, with Kate Miller completely rewiring the script on Sub Series E - a masterfully minimal, double-time meditation. suki presents his Sniper1 alias to close with a demonic body-jacking groove loaded for the system.

Whether taken alone or folded into the three-disc triptych, each instalment stands as a bag-ready constant, charged with Butter Sessions’ curatorial finesse.

✨📀 Stoked to announce the @guycontact remix of Circles out next Friday Oct 24 📀✨

Cal is one of my fav producers and a total legend, so it’s an honor to collab on this one. Excited to squelch around to it on some d floors soon.

Made this visualizer with some footage from a particularly wobbly day at my fav swimming spot along Lake Michigan, in Chicago (near the blue sculpture, iykyk). Felt like it captured some of the playful bounce in this remix, while also tapping into what this song represents for me - circling between a sense of grounding and home and a longing to explore.
