Thank you @ken.castaneda_ for supporting our vision, @lucii_ferr and @mxrunko for helping us execute and @sophiemorner @taylortrabulus@elizabethalamb at @companygallery for believing in us and letting us play in the basement.

we’re excited for folks to experience the installation when we’re not there playing our sound sculpture and when we are :)

we called the show distortion play and we’re all in the play but also we are playing with the hypervisible surveillance state we live in and the camera as a medium for surveillance and ambient sound as a metaphor for ambient surveillance and feeling any control over our own hypervisibilty…

Like damp madness materializing, @scraaatch202 pierce through the murk with sensual freneticism and hushed angst.The revered Brooklyn-based soothsayers exorcise though multimedia performances, conjuring experimental sound and hybrid DJ rituals from their studio lab. Equal parts noise dirges, and polyrhythmic hypnotics, they’ll stoke and soothe your neuroses and tickle your brain.

Longtime residents of London’s NTS Radio since 2017, their signals ripple outward—championed by selectors including Fauzia, Mistervacation, Laurel Halo, and Kode 9. In 2024 they surfaced above ground to present their first solo exhibition, *Distortion Play*, at Company Gallery in New York.

Their transmissions have surfaced across releases including *Teardrops EP* (2019), *DON’T TALK TO ME REMIXES* (2022), and *Distortion Études* (Bunny Jr. Tapes, 2024), alongside appearances on compilations from ParkingStone’s *Virgō*, Kevin Beasley’s *A View of a Landscape*, PTP’s *RESIST*, and most recently *Only Sounds that Tremble Through Us (To all those we are indebted to, before and after us)* for Bilna’es.
