📝 The Canopy Program is a year-long intimate mentorship program, providing artists access to work exclusively with a Faculty Mentor and a cohort of 10 artists for 3-consecutive semesters. Cohorts are available virtually via Zoom for artists based across the world, and in-person Cohorts are available for artists living in the New York City area.

➡️Canopy 2.0 is a three-semester program [Fall 2026, Mini-Winter 2027, Spring 2027] designed for artists who have completed year one of The Canopy Program. Each cohort of ten artists will be led by two esteemed mentors. The emphasis on curated high level guest critics, engaged speakers and timely workshops remains a focus of the program.

Educated in both fine arts and graphic design with a decade long career in figure illustration, Owens has over the last few years shifted focus to her studio practice. Her studio work — acrylic paintings, wooden constructions, and sewn canvases — explores a fluidity of boundary and form with shapes that are shifting and relational. Influenced by a surreally upended concept of physical individuality in motherhood, she is fascinated by the edges between body and object, self and other, surface and paint.
