LBJ Presidential Library
The wait is over! Our reimagined permanent exhibit is now open. Be among the first to experience it. | Instagram is Foundation run

Some history you read about. Some history tells the story of who we are.
Starting May 30, the LBJ Library brings you face-to-face with the documents that shaped America—from Brown v. Board of Education to the Fourteenth Amendment and the Wright brothers’ patent. Each one reveals a story—of struggle, progress, and possibility—that still shapes the nation today.
As America approaches its 250th birthday, experience “The American Experiment: Pursuing Our Promise” exhibit—a rare, limited-time look at the stories that built the country.

Pull up a chair. There’s a place for you here.
Opening Saturday, April 11, What We Bring to the Table: Tales of History and Home invites you to explore the American story through one of its most familiar spaces—the kitchen table. Through personal stories, everyday objects, and immersive moments, discover how generations of families have shaped—and been shaped by—the nation’s history.
See 🔗 in bio for more information.

A new look. A powerful story.
Our refreshed permanent exhibit reopens Saturday, March 7! Experience LBJ’s presidency like never before through immersive storytelling, hands-on interactives, and new perspectives that connect the defining moments of the 1960s to the challenges and conversations of today.
Journey from his early ambitions and rise to power to the fight for civil rights, the Great Society, and the pivotal year of 1968. Whether you’re a history lover, a student, or visiting for the first time, this revitalized experience invites you to explore the past — and think forward.
