Starting May 30, the LBJ Library brings you face-to-face with the documents that shaped America—from Brown v. Board of Education to the Fourteenth Amendment and the Wright brothers’ patent. Each one reveals a story—of struggle, progress, and possibility—that still shapes the nation today.

As America approaches its 250th birthday, experience “The American Experiment: Pursuing Our Promise” exhibit—a rare, limited-time look at the stories that built the country.

Opening Saturday, April 11, What We Bring to the Table: Tales of History and Home invites you to explore the American story through one of its most familiar spaces—the kitchen table. Through personal stories, everyday objects, and immersive moments, discover how generations of families have shaped—and been shaped by—the nation’s history.

On May 21, 1987, #BettyFord visited the Library to discuss her memoir and raise awareness about substance abuse and treatment options.
