After a long journey across the Mediterranean shores and Central Europe, which began inside the prison of Secondigliano (Naples) thanks to @teatringestazione and continued through Tunis @theatre.national.tunisien , Nabeul @la_brise_beach_bar , Budapest @placccfesztival , Zagreb @this_is_a_domino_project , Berlin @tatwerk_berlin , Palermo @studio_rizoma_ and Cagliari @sardegnateatro , Barrani closes the first phase of its international tour between Paris @parole_errante_demain and Amman, in collaboration with @albaladtheater and @sardegnateatro . The collaboration will continue throughout 2026 with new dates between late spring and summer.

A precious journey that allowed us to meet people and spaces, reinvent formats, and imagine new projects and collaborations.

Barrani is out now on @hundebiss funded by @ettijahat_independent_culture Rawabet Grant.

It’s either a flower or it’s not a flower. This is a not-a-flower put in not-soil, but white concrete. At the window sill. It will never grow. It will never die. It will never be anything but a reminder of what it is not.
You can fall in love with the material for what it is and so create beauty that flaunts itself, or you create something which it’s best feature is not getting found out. Not-flowers will not flower.
There are many in my life, not just at my window sill but also around me, and sometimes if I dare confess, within me. To 2022 and figuring out the fake flowers in our lives. Happy New Year, friends. I don’t love you all but I love some of you a lot. You real flowers you.

Taking photos of Helena I walk the very thin line between obsessive creep and slightly less than casual photographer. Either that or she nonchalantly places herself in picturesque moments every moment of her life and she’s very good at it.

Sometimes, I’d be watching someone . That someone is staring into the distance, perhaps by a window. I look at myself and I think “I’m watching someone. I’m people people-watching. I’m a people-watcher.” I assume an identity. As you guys know me now. I’m a mysterious, people-watcher. Very cool guy in general. I’m looking at this person and they’re looking into the distance. I think they’re very deep. Very deep. They’re looking into the distance. They’re definitely thinking deep thoughts. This has nothing to do with the thoughts they’re thinking, of course, but more to do with what I’m projecting on to them. Im self-watching. How can I know what they’re thinking unless I ask them? And they don’t owe the world an explanation for their moments of silence. If anything their moments of silence wouldn’t be moments of silence now we’re talking about their moments of silence. I am encroaching on their moment. I won’t ask them what they’re thinking about. I’m a people Watcher. They’re thinking deep thoughts. That’s what I do too because I’m deep. I look in the distance and think deep thoughts. People will be watching me and watching how deep I am. They are: people watchers. But now I’m watching myself again. I think about how I think about. I reflect on myself. I’m a self-reflector. If people catch me self reflecting, they will see that I’m a self-reflector. I’m gonna go sit by a window. Now we’re all people watchers who are watching themselves.
