Pablo Ulises Lienhard x Yun Kuo present foghorn

@femmeboyant_xoxo (any pronouns) is a performer and composer based in Berlin. They are typically found playing as an improvising saxophonist and electronic noise musician in a variety of settings, selecting music for radio shows or for people to dance to (as ulises4000), and organizing or curating diverse event formats.

Their main projects include the accordion and electronics duo Zimmermann / Lienhard, the fake industrial folklore band Schrödinger or Boom Boom God, the Berlin-based club series Brutal Honesty (co-hosted with missteikk), and the Zürich-based #workoutjazz collective, which organizes the madness festival series.

“G^&aaAden” is a project I did in 2019. I was thinking about what Post-Anthropocene could look like, in which nature exists in a different form. I use photogrammetry as my tool for this project. Photogrammetry is a technique to capture objects and build 3D models. In practice, it was commonly used to record human heritages that are under-damaged, but it still has its limits to capture plants.

I therefore fed the computer with photos of flowers and plants and got this new landscape with error and randomness. The border between perfectness, prettiness, mistakes, and ugliness is shifted. The project is composed of two parts: a virtual world to wander around on PC and in VR and a series of poster with the fragments of this world.

“G^&aaAden” is a project I did in 2019. I was thinking about what Post-Anthropocene could look like, in which nature exists in a different form. I use photogrammetry as my tool for this project. Photogrammetry is a technique to capture objects and build 3D models. In practice, it was commonly used to record human heritages that are under-damaged, but it still has its limits to capture plants.

I therefore fed the computer with photos of flowers and plants and got this new landscape with error and randomness. The border between perfectness, prettiness, mistakes, and ugliness is shifted. The project is composed of two parts: a virtual world to wander around on PC and in VR and a series of poster with the fragments of this world.

The project is a part of the Graphic Design course “Learning from Hans Hofmann” organized by @graphicdesignatbauhausand @vk_uniweimar in Sommer Semester 2019 lead by @markusweisbeck and @adrianpalko.
