Photosynthesis, an event series featuring live electronica, ambient, experimental and indie artists.
Sounds from the following duo’s and Dublab Resident DJ
Thoma is the duo of @tristandeliege and Benjamin Hill. Originally from OKC, their project was born out of a mutual love for early 2000s electronica and downtempo. Their work is a continually evolving dialogue between synths, samplers, and extensive recording. In their most recent work they’ve collaborated with @jameswatermanmusic in both a live context and in the studio. Tristan and Ben will often present various loops or short sketches that James will play over, employing his extensive experience in percussion, improvisation and composition across, from vibraphone and marimba to djembe, bongo, shakers.
@hustlekat (Stephanie Yu) and @ynes.mon (Collin Davis) are LA–based artists whose collaboration around violin and synths has led to their first album, Altar of Tomorrow. Drawing from Yu’s background as a Juilliard-trained violinist with roots in orchestral and contemporary performance, and Davis’ practice as a studio producer, engineer, and sound artist, their music centers on texture, space, and subtle transformation. Together they combine tradition with experimentation, blending bowed strings and synthesizer drones to invite deep listening in a new and unfamiliar world.
Will-O-Wisp is the duo project of LA-based drummer and producer Tim Voet and NYC-based saxophonist @gabe.heinemann . Stemming from their days at Oberlin, where they both graduated with degrees in Jazz studies, Heinemann and Voet share a history of collaboration and experimentation. Originally starting as a call for Heinemann to record saxophone on one of Voet’s songs, the project quickly grew into a 6-song EP. Built around themes of memory and the unreliable nature of nostalgia and history, the duo aim to break into LA and New York’s vibrant improvisation and ambient music scenes while showcasing their unique musical approach.
Dublab resident @jennzelm . Jenn plays monthly on dublab, founding a show called Thread the Needle, an eclectic, thematic exploration that delves into sounds connected by a shared thread.

Saturday, April 11th! Join us for Delta States: A Lecture and Bilateral Listening Session with Brittany Bueno & Collin Davis from Evidence Based Music 🎼 🧠
Delta brainwave activity is a foundational component of human sleep physiology and is most prominently expressed during the deepest stages of non-REM sleep. Delta states are associated with reduced cortical arousal, slowed neural oscillations, and large scale synchronization across brain regions.
This event examines delta activity within the broader context of brainwave states and sleep cycles, and explores how bilateral auditory stimulation can be used to engage delta-range activity through sound. The lecture portion will introduce core brainwave states, with a focus on the delta state, its role across different stages of sleep, and the research informing its study.
Released on March 13th in observance of World Sleep Day, Bueno Brain Entrainment, Vol. 1: Delta will be presented as an integrated listening work, outlining the album’s structure, the function of each track, and the use of binaural tones designed to support delta activity through bilateral listening.
Following a short break, attendees will take part in a bilateral listening session drawn from the album, experienced through stereo headphones and intended for sustained, focused auditory engagement. The event concludes with a brief period for questions and closing remarks.

Bueno Brain Entrainment Volume I : Delta is out today for World Sleep Day
A brainwave entrainment recording using binaural tones in the delta range (0.5–4 Hz), associated with deep non-REM sleep and slow-wave activity
Intended for listening during sleep onset and extended periods of rest

Intended for listening during sleep onset and extended periods of rest

Evidence Based Music announces Bueno Brain Entrainment, Vol. I — Delta, a collection of binaural psychoacoustic recordings composed within the delta range.
Brainwave activity is commonly categorized into five primary frequency ranges: gamma, beta, alpha, theta, and delta. Each range corresponds to distinct neural patterns and states of consciousness.
Delta (0.5–4 Hz) represents the slowest commonly recorded range and occurs during deep, non-REM sleep and periods of physiological restoration.
