I am thrilled to announce the publication, Fruiting Bodies (Perimeter Editions 111), my third major book and my first with Perimeter Editions! A special edition of 50 copies, which includes a signed and edition diptych of prints (shown in the last image), is now available to order at the link in @perimeterbooks bio ❤️
Rooted in ecofeminist thought, Fruiting Bodies depicts mushrooms growing in pairs, in clusters, or alone – their delicate structures echoing the human body and reclaiming the organic world as a site of feminist inquiry. Like the female body, mushrooms have been understood and valued primarily through their reproductive function. Yet, beneath the surface, a vast underground mycelial network is vital in ways that defy conventional visibility: in care, in knowledge, in reciprocity. Fruiting Bodies documents these quiet, transient structures as metaphors that challenge dominant narratives of fertility and productivity.
Seemingly a departure from my previous works, I hope you will find that nestled within the poetry of this publication, an echo of something beautiful and familiar 💕
Please reach out for any press queries. I’m so so excited to share this with you!

Incredibly honoured to be exhibiting my series ‘Gold Coast’ in ‘On Country: Photography from Australia’, the first-ever exhibition to focus on Australia at the Rencontres d’Arles 2025. I will be there this year so please reach out to catch up if you’re around! I will also have a few of the last special edition copies of the ‘Gold Coast’ book available to purchase at the festival.
‘On Country: Photography from Australia’ is a landmark exhibition highlighting diverse photographic practice in Australia through the work of 17 Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists and collectives exploring aspects of being ‘on Country’ – a term embodied by First Peoples in Australia to describe the lands, waterways, seas and cosmos to which they are connected.
The exhibition is co-produced by the Rencontres d’Arles and PHOTO Australia and on display 7 July – 5 October 2025.
Curated by PHOTO Australia Founder/Artistic Director Elias Redstone, Guest Curator Kimberley Moulton (Yorta Yorta), and PHOTO Australia Curators Pippa Milne and Brendan McCleary.
Supported by the Australian Government through the International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund and the Bowness Family Foundation. Additional support from the Australian Embassy in France.

“The Quickening” exhibition and artist book is showing at @ccp_australia until April 9th, for those who haven’t yet had a chance to see it. We’ve had amazing speakers in that space during the time that it has been open and seen and heard a plurality of voices across multiple disciplines around the politics of caregiving and photography. I’m so grateful to @ccp_australia for the opportunity to create such an ambitious installation of the work and to have it manifest to the public in a way that I never imagined before.
“You begin your life in expansion. From rolling to crawling to walking, your reach moves outwards from infancy through to adulthood. At the cusp of motherhood, everything instantaneously moves in reverse. Your world begins to shrink, to coalesce into the tight sphere of domestic life. What was once the sun is now the light in your living room. What was once the road, becomes the hallway to the bathroom. Everyone you once knew, becomes the squalling baby in your arms, suddenly unknowable, inconsolable and opaque in their needs and wants. As the external landscape of your old world shifts from mountains to lakes, the change also begins within. In increments and then suddenly faster and faster, you become internally unrecognizable. The task of navigating this new geography, the new days and nights, how you eat, how you sleep, how you love - this seismic transition - is called “matrescence”.
The Quickening details the claustrophobia, myopia, paradoxical loneliness and luminance of this transformative time.”
The exhibition runs until April 9th Wed-Sun 11am-5pm.
Deep thanks goes out to @dboetkers for his faith in me,
@catlincatlincatlin for her curatorial magic
@prismimaging and @colour_factory for their print support
And @teunvd always for his generous wisdom and vision.

Deep thanks goes out to @dboetkers for his faith in me,
@catlincatlincatlin for her curatorial magic
@prismimaging and @colour_factory for their print support
And @teunvd always for his generous wisdom and vision.

I’ll be doing a big open book candid artist talk, scuse the pun, in about an hour! Come by if you’re Northside and looking for a creative fix ❤️
Let’s enter the woods, find some mushrooms and so much more.. 🍄🟫
Rooted in ecofeminist thought, Ying Ang’s book Fruiting Bodies depicts mushrooms growing in pairs, in clusters, or alone - their delicate structures echoing the human body and reclaiming the organic world as a site of feminist inquiry.
