i started out shooting hood videos. did loads of them. back then i used to feel a bit ashamed of where i came from, tried to make it all look more clean, more commercial. pushed those old vids aside. but this one shot 3 years ago. it is about to hit 20 million on youtube. 3 days in the istanbul ghettos, no plan, no permits, just me and the crew running around with camcorders and whatever gear we had. raw, shaky, messy. this is where i come from. still is. reposting to remind myself. it’s always been this.
