It's Week 24 of my A-Z album chronicles, building up to the release of 'The Return of King Zepha' on 3 June. Only a couple of weeks to go... eeek!

Quite a tricky letter of the alphabet to come up with words for, right? Not if you're lucky enough to be label-mates with, share the same bass player as, and have recently collaborated with, the coolest surf-punk band on the planet!

Back in January I floated the idea of a collaboration with XRCT, on an instrumental surf-dub B-Side for one of our singles, with their guitarist Nico and bass player Adam. I asked which track would be best, to which Adam replied "as long as it's slow and in a minor key, it'll work". We agreed on 'Lament', Adam got to work on the production and, about a week later, presented me with the most excellent 'From Dub 'til Dawn'.

The track combines Tarantino-esque surf and spaghetti western guitar licks with dub sirens galore and a drum machine groove that sounds like it's straight off the 'More Specials' album. It's available to stream and download from bandcamp (link in bio).

Three different sets of limited edition 7" singles (on clear vinyl, dark turquoise vinyl and red vinyl) have been-and-gone. If there's enough interest, we might cut another run of singles at some point. Please let us know in the comments if you're interested.
