CET AUTRE ANGLE de Nooran abattu par la police est, pour moi, terriblement significatif. On y voit des enfants de 8 à 10 ans qui jouent. À l’arrivée de la police, certains fuient par réflexe, sans même savoir pourquoi. Puis il y a ce très jeune garçon qui, au contraire, court vers eux en riant, encore enjoué, curieux de voir ce qui se passe. Pour lui, l’idée même qu’un drame puisse survenir est impensable.

Puis viennent les coups de feu. Dans une incompréhension totale, il revient sur ses pas. En quelques secondes, son regard change, son monde bascule. Il vient d’assister, de ses propres yeux, à un policier qui abat un jeune.
Ce moment d’innocence, un après-midi enjoué comme tant d’autres présent, basculera à jamais, en un traumatisme à vie sous l’action d’un policier hors de contrôle.#justicepournooran

Because the film relies entirely on deeply emotional, sometimes shocking footage, we had to approach the visual and narrative strategy with great care while positioning the film as a bold, contemporary cultural work denouncing systemic racism in Canada.

The teaser trailer and key art successfully captured the film’s spirit and helped generate anticipation for its release. They were used in promotional campaigns leading up to the intentional and emotionally grounded premiere organized by @neverwasaverage at the NFB, where conversation and mindfulness practices guided audiences in processing the film’s powerful message.
