We’re really proud and honoured to welcome Tom to Hastings for his first gig on the south coast. Tom is a musician, DJ and producer based in Todmorden. Tom has released a series of dark, wonky and psychedelic electronic EPs on @optimomusic and has forthcoming music on @test_pressing_official who he has also contributed mixes for their NTS residency.

Tom is also a sought-after remixer, and in the last few months alone has reworked Nation of Language, The Itch and Glok. Last year @dfarecs themselves officially put out Tom’s edit of ‘Home’ by LCD Soundsystem after James Murphy himself heard it on NTS. It’s been championed by DJs like Gerd Janson, Heidi Lawden and Sean Johnston (and me!) since.

As a DJ, Tom has played with Daniel Avery, JD Twitch, Lupini, Justin Strauss and Erol Alkan, and regularly welcomes DJs to play with him at his local, the infamous rave pub the Golden Lion. He’s contributed mixes to NTS, the Lot Radio, Worldwide FM and Phantasy Sound, and we can’t wait to welcome him to @frenchsbar_hastings

We’re also welcoming our good friend Jack @fun_fun303 to close the night with his usual high energy, all vinyl selections of weirdo bangers.

@sonny_beau__ will open for Tom. After seeing him ably handle the warm up slot for Logan Fisher recently, we knew he’d been perfect.

After our last session which helped shake away the January blues in style, we're back in the dance again at French's with a killer line-up of acid-fried disco belters, big room bangers, post-punk inflected techno and italo-flavoured oddities.

We're thrilled (and a bit shocked tbh) to be joined by DJ, remixer, producer, and rising star @tomsharkett - one of our favourites, and yours, too, given how his tunes go off whenever we play them. He's released tracks on @dfarecs and @optimomusic and has put out a bunch of incredible remixes recently - we can't wait to hear what he has in store for us.

Friend of the party Jack @fun_fun303 will be throwing down a set of tunes both familiar and unexpected, and we now have added @sonny_beau__ on the line-up; after seeing him ably warm up for Logan Fisher the other night we had to have him join us.

Back again playing BOTH types of music, ACID and DISCO.

We’re thrilled to finally announce that the one and only @tomsharkett will be joining us in French’s booth for our next party. Tom is a real favourite of ours and is responsible for some absolute dancefloor bombs that we’ve played regularly at our parties.

Tom is an esteemed DJ and producer, having put out a few EPs on the @optimoespacio label and a forthcoming release on @test_pressing_official . He’s also responsible for a number of high-profile edits and remixes, including THAT re-tooling of ‘Home’ by LCD Soundsystem, which was so good that James Murphy and @dfarecs themselves officially put it out last year.

To say we’re honoured to host him is an understatement. He’s gonna blow the roof off. SOUND ON for a taste of what you’re in for.

Joining us will be our friend, favourite Hastings DJ and reliable party-starter Jack AKA @fun_fun303 alongside @wildcombination.sl residents with their selection of ACID DISCO bangers and wonky gems. Come early, stay late!

Wild Combination returns to @thepipercalls to celebrate our (sort of) first birthday by reviving the spirit of the Losing My Edge nu-rave electroclash party we threw last November, and chucking it at the acid house post-punk mutant disco techno knees-up we’re known for.

Joining us on the night will be Ben Fat Trucker AKA @battyrymer 1/3 of Sheffield electroclash miscreants Fat Truckers, 1/2 of bona fide party starters Gucci Soundsystem (with Riton) and currently 100% of the excellent Acid Party Yobs. It’ll be rowdy and wicked.

We also welcome Dance Yourself Clean residents @starakat and @delphiniusvargas who have started flying the nu rave and electroclash flag locally, so it’s a pleasure to join forces.

Wild Combination residents will be opening and closing proceedings as usual with a noughties slant to our usual offerings.

We’d also like to present the party as a tribute to the late JD Twitch, a true original and musical hero of ours. It’s fair to say we wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for @optimoespacio showing us that music for dancing wasn’t just dance music, and that parties where everything is up for grabs are the most exciting ones. Optimo Forever!
