Don’t fight fire with fire, for that leaves destruction. Fight fire with water and be the salve of a nation.

The temptation is to be angry and rage filled. But Jesus was clear, “The Apostle Paul, writing to the church in Rome, encourages believers to "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" and to instead “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink”

What’s funny about the person who wrote this verse, his name is Paul, but before Jesus gave him a new name his name was Saul. Saul murdered early Christians. But God met him where he was at amidst his evil life and loved him like He loves you and I. So let us extend the same love to the evil doer that Jesus extended Saul/Paul who wrote the words we use to remember the spirit of God.

If you have ever read the book #imagineheaven by @johnburkeofficial you will know that Charlie is far better off than all of us. We can’t change his situation and he would ask us not to because it’s far better than our situation here on earth. So pray for his wife and kids as they endure the suffering that evil made today.

But let’s not forget…. Love those who hate you. Don’t be overcome by evil. Overcome evil with GOOD! The same Bible says that God is Love and that God is Good! So let us give to those that which they chose not to give us. Love. Good. God!

Great weekend sorting and riding with friends in an area of Irvine family ranch few get the chance to ride. #limestonecanyon thank you to the guides and docents of @ocparks and the Irvine family. Windy, cold, and threatening rain but what a great experience seeing some of our counties history.

Through coordination with Chief Boyles and Batallion Chief Adam Novak, our Chairman Brian Bowis headed up to LA to see firsthand the devastation caused by the fires and how our @newportbeachfd teams have been able to help.As a foundation, we also delivered urgent supplies—pillowcases, chapstick, toothpaste, snacks, and more—directly to the front lines to support the needs of our first responders. Every little bit helps keep our heroes safe and supported!

Orange County, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, you all made such an impact on these first responders working to extinguish the#La fired and get @cityoflosangeles out of a state of emergency. Donations are rolling in from everywhere but we made a concerted effort to love our crews on the fire line. I think we succeeded. Eye drops, chapstick, wipes, snacks, drinks, @starlinksofficial (Thanks Elon!) battery banks, hats and shirts. An absolute blowout success to get them connected, fed, hydrated, and energized. Special thanks to Chief Biodeaux and all the logistics and liaison office teams for allowing us in to bring these items in. We hope to continue to provide for needs as they come up. Truly humbled by the work you all do for the people of LA. Newport is always here for you when you need support. Monetary donations to sponsor Starlink! Our guys in the field are lacking connectivity and with the threat of loss of the most robust cell phone towers in the area, connectivity is near non existent. If you’d like to donate we are targeting 100 Starlinks for our crews and field operational commanders. We believe we can make this happen!
