🥊 3 Nations Championships - A New Era 🥊

One venue. Four days. Schools, Junior, Youth, Elites. Non-stop action! 🏆

Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 | Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 | England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 will go head-to-head in an electrifying showdown at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff from May 29th – June 1st, 2025.

For the first time the 3 Nations Championships will take place over 4 days in one venue with the Schools, Junior, Youth and Elites champions crowned.

Massive thanks to Lauren Price, Sam Hickey and Lewis Richardson who have featured within our promo. Each boxer is a previous winner of the 3 Nations from each nation and shows how important a tournament the 3 Nations Championship is within an amateur boxer's career.

🥊 We were honoured to welcome Sport Wales Chair, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE, DL, to the 2026 Welsh Boxing Minors & Schools National Championships at the Sport Wales National Centre this weekend.

Across three days of action, 45 Welsh champions were crowned, with young boxers from across the country showcasing incredible skill 👏

Welsh Boxing would like to thank Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson for attending and supporting the next generation of Welsh boxers, as well as all clubs, coaches, officials, volunteers and families who helped make the championships such a success.

🥊 Moves Different Sessions Driving Strong Progress at Splott Adventure ABC

Since launching in February, the Moves Different programme at Splott Adventure ABC has already made a huge impact, with five young boxers successfully completing Round 1 of their Foundations Award. 👏

Over the last 12 weeks, participants have been building confidence, improving fitness, and developing boxing skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Coach Sasha shared:
“It’s been 12 weeks since we started the Moves Different programme and so far we have had a great response from the individuals that have been referred to us. We’ve noticed many changes amongst the group already including increased confidence and skill levels. Myself and Darren are looking forward to welcoming more individuals to a great club, Splott Adventure ABC. Something about this just ‘moves different’.”

The programme is already helping young people grow both inside and outside the ring, with one participant now preparing to take part in a showcase sparring bout on an upcoming club show — a major milestone in their journey. 🥊

Participants have praised the welcoming atmosphere and positive impact the sessions are having:
“What I’ve enjoyed about the boxing sessions is how welcoming everybody is and how supportive the coaches are of everybody that attends.” – TJ, 17
“The boxing sessions have really built up my self-respect, self-esteem and confidence. I feel better when I’m training.” – AR, 18

Moves Different is a nationwide initiative using boxing to help support young people aged 13–18 by providing structure, discipline, and positive opportunities through sport.

Head coach James Mwashigallah said:
“The Move Different project has been absolutely fantastic for both the community and the club. It’s achieving exactly what we hoped for — the young people taking part are really enjoying the programme, the coaches are fully engaged, and the club as a whole has benefited enormously.”
