Chay Vicious - Waste My Time // Watch This

The boys came back in December and brought in two new songs. One of the ideas was to try some new directions. Softer more detailed soundscapes, spacious, more dynamics, but keep all the elements that made them them. Loved the idea, it was new territory, and a different side to them. So this approach was different and forced us to be creative in ways we hadn’t yet tried. Test the walls of the studio. Always a fun and hilarious time with the boys. They always got more to offer. Happy to be on the team with them once again 💪

Sometimes I come away from a record thinking “I don’t even remember how it happened.”

Pushing drums through tape, bouncing synths through cassettes, mangling the sounds through random gear at random times. Diving into a bunch of analog and digital fuckery at times to be honest. “Running shit through shit.” Not everything we tried worked, but that’s part of the journey of eventually finding something that does.

All 5 of the songs had their journey. Now it’s time for my buddy and I to let them go. Enjoy
