POSCA Australia's Mural Exchange Program 2025 was an unprecedented collaboration connecting Japanese and Australian mural artists through the shared language of street art.

Bringing together long-time POSCA artists, the program saw creatives travel between Melbourne and Osaka, creating large-scale murals under a unifying theme of cultural exchange, creativity, and artistic freedom.
Rooted in street art culture since the 1980s, POSCA continues to empower artists to transform public spaces into platforms for self-expression. This project builds on that legacy — reimagined through contemporary mural practice and global collaboration.

Brought to life with WALL SHARE Inc. and Juddy Roller, and featuring artists Adnate (AU) and HIROTTON (JP), the murals stand as a powerful symbol of connection — where art transcends borders.

2025年大阪・関西万博にてBAKIBAKIによって描かれた『希望の系譜』が、大阪・十三のシティホテル「ホテルプラザオーサカ」に移設されることを記念し、移設の完成披露会を実施します。それに合わせてBAKIBAKIが淀川区で主催する淀壁の壁画ツアーと、「アフター万博の淀川」をテーマにしたトークショーを実施。

“Sambar deer in Klang Forrest”
2026, Klang, Malaysia

This mural is a poetic interpretation of Klang’s history, culture, nature, and collective memory. It depicts the native sambar deer—once featured in the symbol of Klang city—set within a forest landscape inspired by the park adjacent to the Palace of the Sultan of Selangor.

The composition also incorporates traditional medicinal herbs that I learned about from local communities, reflecting the region’s knowledge and connection to nature.

The mural is painted in a predominantly monochromatic palette of red and white, with subtle touches of yellow reflecting the colours associated with Selangor.

It is completed with a gentle presence of sakura flowers and petals falling through the Klang forest, symbolising friendship and cultural exchange between Malaysia and Japan.

The project was produced by @wallbattlemalaysia together with @wallshare as a co producer

This mural is a poetic interpretation of Klang’s history, culture, nature, and collective memory. It depicts the native sambar deer—once featured in the symbol of Klang city—set within a forest landscape inspired by the park adjacent to the Palace of the Sultan of Selangor.

The composition also incorporates traditional medicinal herbs that I learned about from local communities, reflecting the region’s knowledge and connection to nature.

The mural is painted in a predominantly monochromatic palette of red and white, with subtle touches of yellow reflecting the colours associated with Selangor.

It is completed with a gentle presence of sakura flowers and petals falling through the Klang forest, symbolising friendship and cultural exchange between Malaysia and Japan.

The project was produced by @wallbattlemalaysia together with @wallshare as a co producer

In April 2026 I got to visit and paint mural at Klang, Malaysia, during the residency I got to meet @mameko_maeda @kac_one from Japan, they also painted at the same time on the near by location. And also I met the @wallbattlemalaysia crew and they helped and assisted the painting production!
