Estonian vocal ensemble Vox Clamantis and their leader Jaan-Eik Tulve have established themselves among the leading interpreters of Arvo Pärt’s music over a quarter-century of close collaboration with the composer – a relationship that builds on the almost half a century long artistic partnership between Pärt and producer Manfred Eicher.
The album arrives on the occasion of Arvo Pärt90th birthday, September 11, 2025.

Kontserdi pealkiri viitab Pärdi a cappella kooriteosele „Ja ma kuulsin hääle …”, mille aluseks on read Johannese ilmutusraamatust.
Vox Clamantise ja Arvo Pärdi erilisest koostööst on kantud ka ansambli hiljutine album „And I heard a voice“ (ECM Records), mis on salvestatud Haapsalu toomkirikus ning mis ilmus helilooja 90. sünnipäeva aastal.

The album And I Heard a Voice is a deeply contemplative collection of sacred choral works by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, performed by the acclaimed vocal ensemble @voxclamantis.ee under the direction of @jaaneik . Released on @ecm_records New Series in 2025 to coincide with Pärt’s 90th birthday, the recording captures the quiet spiritual intensity that has defined his music for decades.
Recorded in the resonant acoustics of Haapsalu Cathedral in Estonia, the album feels almost suspended in time.

In attendance at the opening were also Michael Pärt, Chairman of the Board of the Arvo Pärt Centre; Jaan-Eik Tulve, artistic director of the ensemble Vox Clamantis; and Madli-Liis Parts, Estonian cultural attaché to the United States.
Out of Silence is a sound installation by the artist Hans Rosenström, created in collaboration with the curator Alina Girshovich, featuring singers from the Vox Clamantis choir under the musical direction of Jaan-Eik Tulve. Inspired by the work of the composer Arvo Pärt and the architecture of Louis Kahn at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park, Out of Silence offers a space for contemplation and connection through sound.
The work speaks to the transcendent quality of the human voice, a sound that emerges from within and reaches outward to permeate the space of another. As voices intertwine, they affect each other, synchronizing their vibrations through resonant air. Embodying stillness and the reduction of sound for heightened awareness, Out of Silence seeks to create an environment for solace and collective attunement: a space where listening creates a pathway for shared understanding.

This April, “Out of Silence,” a sound installation by the artist Hans Rosenström (@hans.rosenstrom), curated by Alina Girshovich (@alina.grsh), will open at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park.
Inspired by the music of the composer Arvo Pärt (@arvopartcentre) and the architecture of the Louis Kahn-designed minimalist monument, the installation offers New Yorkers and visitors alike a moment of solace and reflection.
Created in collaboration with the vocal ensemble Vox Clamantis (@voxclamantis.ee), “Out of Silence” speaks to the power of the human voice, a sound emerging from within that reaches outward to connect and permeate another’s space. Entering the installation evokes a sense of belonging, and, much like Pärt’s music and Kahn’s architecture, creates a contemplative space for connection within an often disconnected world.
“Out of Silence” will be open April 29 through June 21, 2026.

Created in collaboration with the vocal ensemble Vox Clamantis (@voxclamantis.ee), “Out of Silence” speaks to the power of the human voice, a sound emerging from within that reaches outward to connect and permeate another’s space. Entering the installation evokes a sense of belonging, and, much like Pärt’s music and Kahn’s architecture, creates a contemplative space for connection within an often disconnected world.

This April, “Out of Silence,” a sound installation by the artist Hans Rosenström (@hans.rosenstrom), curated by Alina Girshovich (@alina.grsh), will open at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park.
Inspired by the music of the composer Arvo Pärt (@arvopartcentre) and the architecture of the Louis Kahn-designed minimalist monument, the installation offers New Yorkers and visitors alike a moment of solace and reflection.
