Vent 414 Tour Postponed

“I cannot tell you how disappointed I am to inform you that the Vent 414 gigs that should’ve been happening around the album release, this month and next, are gonna have to be postponed.

I guess I’ve asked too much of you wonderful lot to come see me in my solo acoustic guise, to join The Wonder Stuff at our fortieth anniversary shows this year AND to come see Vent 414.

I get it, life is expensive these days, ridiculously so. And with that in mind I just can’t let the great bunch of promoters involved lose money on the shows we planned.

I won’t lie, Pete, Morgan and I are gutted.

We’ll do our very best to get the gigs rescheduled and keep you all up to date on that as soon as we can.

And tomorrow, May 1st 2026, we have some big news regarding how you can get to hear what we came up with! 😁

From the BD Arkives… this pic from RAW magazine is from one of the few shows I played in the band Vent in 1995. I had a fun time playing with them as they were a great bunch of lads... it was a sort of soft landing for me back in the UK when the Cult had broken up... fellow band member Miles Hunt was in a similar position after his band The Wonder Stuff split in 1994.
Ian and I had actually been interviewed by Miles when he was working for MTV just before The Cult split. I then ran into him at the Phoenix festival when we were both camping and hanging out enjoying the bands... one thing led to another, and I just tried to help out the band with a little bit of lead guitar.
Oh, I also sang some backing vocals when we did a BBC Radio One session!!! I always remember Miles telling me that he thought my voice sounded like Phil Oakey of the Human League, which I took as a positive as to this day I still have zero faith in what my voice sounds like 🤣
Alongside his “day job” with @thewonderstuffofficial Miles has got @vent_414 back together they have an album and UK tour planned for this year.

After hours at @regentchristchurch catchup with Miles Hunt who’s always a wealth of info. Not surprising as 2026 is @thewonderstuffofficial ’s 40th Anniversary.
