Μέσα από φωτογραφίες, Polaroids, αρχειακά τεκμήρια και κινηματογραφικό υλικό, το έργο εξερευνά τη σχέση ανάμεσα στο αρχείο, τη συλλογική μνήμη και τον αστικό μύθο, κινούμενο ανάμεσα στο ντοκουμέντο και τη μυθοπλασία.

The Visual Arts International Festival - VAiF (@vaif.gr), in collaboration with esp+ gallery, presents the solo exhibition of Portuguese photographer Emanuel Constantino (@econstantinoo) titled: “(...) se elas houverem, a gente vai tirá-las”

Through photographs, Polaroids, archival documents, and cinematic material, the project explores the relationship between archives, collective memory, and urban myth, moving between documentary and fiction.

Create posters inspired by memory, intangible cultural heritage, traditions, and cultural identities that are fading, transforming, or resisting disappearance.

We welcome self-published books, publisher collaborations, zines, and dummy photobooks with a strong visual identity and narrative approach.

“Designing for Change: Gentrification”

A jury poster by Ioannis Fetanis [GRC] @fetanisioannis_dw .

The display typography of the classic greek, "for rent" and "for sale" wall signs,
refers to the announcement that life is ready to be bought or sold.

The bright yellow background, so intense and almost blinding, highlights the provocative persistence
of the system in turning culture into a commodity, leaving behind only the reflection of profit.

"Gentrification" has become a form of mass colonization that doesn’t occupy land, but occupies souls,
erasing the faces of the people and their stories from the landscape.

This poster doesn’t ask us if we want change. It reminds us that when commercial capital speaks,
our city transforms into a place without identity.

Gentrification is not just a word. It is the story written in the heart of the city.

Αφίσα του κριτή Ιωάννη Φετάνη [GRC] @fetanisioannis_dw .

Η κεφαλαιογράμματη τυπογραφία των κλασικών επιτοίχιων επιγραφών "προς ενοικίαση" και "προς πώληση”,
μας παραπέμπει στην ανακοίνωση ότι η ζωή είναι έτοιμη να αγοραστεί ή να πουληθεί.

Το κίτρινο φόντο, τόσο έντονο και σχεδόν εκτυφλωτικό, αναδεικνύει την προκλητική επιμονή του συστήματος
να μετατρέπει τον πολιτισμό σε καταναλωτικό αγαθό, αφήνοντας πίσω μόνο τον αντικατοπτρισμό του κέρδους.

Ο "ΕΞΕΥΓΕΝΙΣΜΟΣ" είναι πια ένα είδος μαζικής αποικιοκρατίας που δεν καταλαμβάνει εδάφη, αλλά καταλαμβάνει ψυχές,
σβήνοντας τα πρόσωπα των ανθρώπων και τις ιστορίες τους από το τοπίο.

Η αφίσα αυτή δεν μας ρωτά αν θέλουμε την αλλαγή. Μας θυμίζει πως, όταν το εμπορικό κεφάλαιο μιλάει,
η πόλη μας μεταμορφώνεται σε έναν τόπο χωρίς ταυτότητα.

Ο εξευγενισμός δεν είναι απλώς μια λέξη. Είναι η ιστορία που αναγράφεται στην καρδιά της πόλης.
