Unveiling a labor of love, the journey behind my latest directorial- a Dabur Honey commercial that was committed to sustainable beekeeping and upliftment of the beekeepers where Dabur stays true to its promise of crafting the best. While filming it pushed our boundaries and weathered storms quite literally, amidst the majestic landscapes during the monsoon and G20 Summit. The unpredictable weather tested our resilience, but our small yet dedicated team stood strong, determined to bring this vision to life. Around such breathtaking terrains and the indomitable spirit of our crew despite facing natural obstacles including a moment when the army halted our shoot, we persevered. Long hard work and unwavering commitment have led to this moment. A huge shoutout to the phenomenal team who stood by through all the thicks and thin. New Work: Taste the refreshanam through my recent directorial in a language I don’t speak but one that spoke to me in every shot, now flowing through the heart of Kerala carrying a sip of sweetness and a splash of pure joy. Bringing to life a brand I’ve grown up tasting since school days was nostalgic but doing it on an unimaginable budget made the journey even more special. There’s something about frames like this which refuse to look away, the lives stacked, dignity compressed yet still breathing through every pore of the image. It’s in these quiet, uncomfortable truths that photography becomes more than art and it becomes witness. To me, Raghu Rai always had a way of standing with those who are rarely centered, never loud about it, never decorative but just present. #newwork alert as some journeys don’t end when the series wraps. They echo. Clean Up Crew soon releasing on @mxplayer has been one such echo. More than a year of living between call sheets and chaos. Between early morning fights and sleepless night shoots. Between planning boards, running sets, over-shifting, shared food, unexpected accidents, calibrated frames and those fleeting moments the camera managed to hold forever. Being the Second Unit Director and First Assistant Director on this series wasn’t just a job that my brothers Creator & Director @rohan_ghose and writer @konarakmukherjee has given me but was a a rhythm that got me back to action. A rhythm of travel, people, pressure, laughter, panic and persistence. And now that the announcement is out, it lands with a strange thud in the chest. Because behind the title lives a thousand memories of sets being built and dismantled, of ideas turning into frames, of a crew becoming a family for a while. Six months. One complete film. A new form of filmmaking. Quite a few sleepless nights. Sweat soaked days. Thoughts that refused to rest. And all of these finally accumulated to the announcement of @shatakthefilm presented by @ada360degree . As a Writer and Associate Director, I can say this film has been shaped through long discussions and readings through doubts, generating and regenerating, rewrites and silences where every sequence carried a piece of madness. The labour of our first kind of hard work brewed by a few young unwired individuals amidst chaos and circumstances but born in the heartbeat became life’s quiet centre. This was the film where I learnt the most, where frames became feelings and every mistake turned into meaning. I believe whatever I can create today was seeded in the making of this one, a film that taught me not just how to direct but how to listen, to light, to silence and to time. Honestly, this was my first film where I dared to experiment, to stumble, to lose my way a little. Perhaps there are gaps in places but in those fractures my eyes opened wider, my senses grew sharper and as a result after a hundred rejections and restless moons, it still refused to die only to find its home, seven years later, in the flicker of @kiff__official . Here’s our final film school dream, Khoshkheyaltogiri, aged like a tender memory, now breathes on screen for the first time IN Kolkata on Thursday, 13th of November 2025.
