ARTS AND HEALTH SYMPOSIUM:

What can art teach us about healing? 
The first ever USC Arts + Health Symposium brought together artists, researchers, healthcare professionals, and community partners for a day of panels, performances, and real conversation, including a keynote with Noah Wyle, R. Scott Gemill, and Simran Baldwin from The Pitt.
Art doesn’t just reflect health — it shapes it. We are very grateful to everyone who made this gathering what it was, and all the voices that shaped the conversation.

AFTER THE FLAMES:

On the eve of Earth Day 2025, we gathered at Bovard Auditorium to ask a difficult question: What is the artist’s role in a burning world?

After the Flames brought together artists, activists, and community members to reckon with the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires and to imagine a way forward. From Lauren Bon and Patrisse Cullors to Dawn Richard and Kyle Devine, we heard from voices working at the intersection of creativity, climate justice, and sustainable change.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and contributed to the discussion.

BEYOND THE HUMAN:

Last September, we kicked off USC Arts Now with “Beyond the Human?: From the Metaphysical to the Physical”, a daylong exploration of AI, art, and everything in between. 

Artist Cai Guo-Qiang introduced us to “Buddha” (his AI translator and creative collaborator), we watched robots cook our lunch, and we asked big questions: What does it mean to create alongside machines? 

From dance and architecture to film and pyrotechnics, 500 of us gathered to imagine a future where art and AI grow together, not apart.
