Behind the scenes at after-hours water rescue training🚤 🌊
VICSES volunteers recently hit the waves at @urbnsurf sharpening their flood and swift water rescue capabilities in a controlled environment designed to challenge real-world response skills. Volunteers were joined by @victoriapolice and @firerescuevictoria members as they worked across a range of different simulations across the month of May.
From night operations to rescue boat work and teamwork under pressure, training like this helps ensure our members are ready when Victorians need us most.

Board Series Part 10 w/ Nico: coach, and resident log frother at URBNSURF 🌊
At 175cm and 64kgs, Nico’s riding a 9’2 x 22 5/8 x 2 3/4 McTavish F4: a performance longboard inspired by the iconic Fireball lineage, built for flow, speed and smooth rail surfing. Likely hand-shaped in Australia, maybe even touched by Bob himself.
From Cruiser sessions all the way to Intermediate, this thing does it all.
A reminder that the “right board” isn’t always about going shorter or more high performance. Sometimes it’s about finding the board that keeps you surfing longer, smoother and with more enjoyment.
