In support of their terrific third album ‘Amaro,’ Bibi Club are playing a free show at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on Thursday, May 21.

Today you can stream the demo version of “Fool”, which I recorded in 2014 in my bedroom. The 10 year reissue of Next Thing includes demo versions of “Fool”, “Floated In” and “Tour Good”. I’m soo excited to finally announce that the new anniversary vinyl is for sale through Bayonet’s website today (and record stores can pre-order now)!! The beautiful back of the album (painted by Meredith Pence Wilson) has been repurposed as single art for the Fool demo, which is out now. We also added another NYC anniversary show, May 19th at Union Pool with Gabby’s World, tickets on sale NOW!! We will have some vinyls on hand at the shows too!

It's been relatively quiet on the 75 Dollar Bill front in the last year and change, so we're especially excited to be doing a two night run at a place that has been supportive of us since the very beginning, Union Pool. Rick and I will be doing the first night as a duo and the second in the warm company of the Little Big Band family. Yr Knives, a new band featuring Chicago lifers Doug McCombs (Tortoise), Brian Sulpizio (Health and Beauty) and Quin Kirchner, and local faves Tiers La Familia (which features the LBB's Cheryl Kingan on synths and vocals) open night one, while a new project from singer/bassist Felice Rosser (FaithNYC), singer Shara Lunon (History Dog, Blasé) and drummer Cinque Kemp open for the Little Big Band on night two. Felice is an amazing singer and did a stripped down version of FaithNYC at one of our Social Music residencies back in the Troost era, so it was a nice surprise to find out that she had a mutual admirer in Shara. This'll be this group's first gig!
