PASSING THE STONE (2016)

This is the little messed up movie that could. I’m so happy to announce that my first short I directed will be playing at the @badstudentfilmfest . Given that I figured I’d throw up the trailer I cut together back in 2016.

This movie was inspired by an experience I had with passing a kidney stone. More of an inspired by true events tale with some hollywood make believe sprinkled about.

In January I was brought on to be the Director of Photography of my first vertical series, NIKITA: ALPHA KING’s 3-TIME REJECTED MATE.
The entire cast and crew were amazing to work with and each and everyone of them brought their A game to help craft this series.
@guy_on_ig killed it with the lighting. By the end of the shoot we were talking to each other strictly as Arnold Schwarzenegger.
My sound peeps @vyver34 and @instadontgiveacrap were amazing not only with sound but knowledgeable with film in general. You guys were my rocks.
@maksimjiang not only produced the heck out of this but also got us some amazing shots with the gimbal.
@joysblueworld was a producer extraordinaire and made the art in this project look fantastic!
@ceciliamelek who was such a great presence to have on our set and producing the heck out of this show.

This is our 7th, honestly I’ve lost count hahaha, together and each time I am so grateful to have such a talented and amazing director at the forefront. You had me fly out to your neck of the woods and create something beautiful. Collaborating with you is always amazing.

I cannot wait for everyone to see this black and white masterpiece. Every single person involved with this flick was firing on all cylinders. I was fortunate enough to be tasked with being the director of photography on this psychological horror feature. Here’s a little sneak peek of one of my favorite shots of the movie and also a little taste of the score, which I was also fortunate enough to create as well.

Based in Pico Rivera, CA, Richard has spent years turning horror visions into reality. Along with Editor in Chief, Sam Santiago, Richard has covered red carpets, interviews, halloween events and even hosted the original DISTURBING TALKS podcast.

In July of 2021 I was given the amazing opportunity to shoot Nicole’s first feature film ‘PORCELAIN’. I’m so happy with the way this one turned out and even happier that I get to report that it is now streaming on Amazon!

THE BLESSING (2024)

When director @zombieakacris brought me this short to score I was more than excited to get to work on it, since I never had the chance to work on a supernatural horror film, dealing with demonic possession. The religious undertones explored in the film inspired me to utilize powerful church organs accompanied by anxiety filled violins. That, with the beautiful visuals captured by @sheff_shoots_indie made it a perfect combo.
Extremely proud of this one and be sure to look out for it soon as part of the upcoming anthology film ‘Amityville Apt’.
