Bangkok’s food scene this week leans heavily into long dinners, guest chef residencies and the sort of restaurants that accidentally turn one drink into five.
Cannubi by Umberto Bombana (@cannubibybombana.bkk) brings the King of White Truffles back to Bangkok for two days of Italian summer cooking at Dusit Thani Bangkok (@dusitthanibkk), while Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok (@siamkempinski) welcomes India’s Masque (@masquerestaurant) for its first-ever Bangkok residency.
Elsewhere, Talayjai Dining (@talayjai.dining) and Ranee’s (@raneerestaurant) pair Thai seafood with handmade pasta over in Bangna, ThaiCoon (@thaicoonbkk) opens in Silom with a menu that treats Thai flavours with zero interest in staying traditional and iberry Group turns chicken bitter melon noodles into one of CentralWorld’s latest queues at Trok Maraga (@trokmaraga.bkk).
If the night still needs somewhere to land afterwards, HEKA’s (@hekabangkok) underground disco setup probably already has people waiting downstairs.

We’ve hit month five now, and yes, May marks the start of rainy season. But rain or shine, events don’t wait around. Plans roll on regardless, and this month’s looking pretty packed.

Mention Thonglor and most Bangkok residents picture late-night noodle stops, cocktail bars perched above car parks and crowds drifting between cafes, gyms and galleries long before midnight arrives.
Right in the thick of it sits Noble Form Thonglor, the latest flagship project from Noble Development. The development lands squarely in central Thonglor, where apartment hunting usually means brutal price tags, tiny floor plans or giving up convenience somewhere along the way.
Rising 46 storeys above Sukhumvit's increasingly crowded skyline, the tower's now the tallest condominium in central Thonglor. The architecture keeps things restrained rather than showy, with a clean square profile softened by layered detailing across the façade.
Thonglor BTS sits a short walk away, while The Commons Thonglor, J Avenue and Villa Market make weekend errands ridiculously convenient.
The newly launched First Release Penthouse Collection pushes things properly upscale, swapping crash-pad energy for long-term living.
We're talking expansive dining areas, oversized bedrooms, skyline views and kitchens clearly designed for more than instant noodles.
Noble opens the doors for an Open House event on May 28, complete with live music and refreshments for prospective buyers and curious visitors wanting a closer look at the show units. Overseas agent recruitment also launches alongside the event.
Entry remains RSVP-only. More information is available via Instagram at @fulcrumglobalhk.

Your go-to vlogging companion has a longer backstory than most realise. Canon PowerShot lands on shelves in 1996, quietly reshaping how everyday photography works. Fast forward three decades and it still earns a place in handbags and carry-ons, thanks to its knack for keeping things simple without skimping on quality.
Now @canon_thailand marks 2026 as a proper anniversary year. Leading the moment is the PowerShot G7 X Mark III Commemorative Edition, dressed in a sleek Graphite finish and stamped with a discreet 30th anniversary insignia. It's a collector's nod, sure, but also a solid bit of kit for anyone who still rates a compact over a bulky setup.
The current range splits across three camps. The G series keeps image quality sharp and controls satisfyingly hands-on, while the V series caters to video-first creators chasing crisp footage without fuss. Covers casual shooters through to seasoned content makers pretty well.
A final flourish arrives via NEXT, teaming up on a limited edition leather case and shoulder strap combo. The limited box set lands exclusively in Thailand, priced at B34,990 since May 8. If you've been meaning to upgrade, best not hang about.

After a successful first round, 'Muan Na Han', Chatuchak Park's aerobic session, is back for more 💪
@thairath teams up with the @bangkok_bma again on May 21, same place, same time at the Aerobic Plaza in Chatuchak Park from 5pm onwards.
They're bringing back the legend ‘Hi – Arpaporn’ with two more instructors. Completely free.
That's not all though. There are two more dates: May 28 with @yinglee_lalla, the luk thung and morlam singer, and June 4 with @ppee.htc1996 and @art_tt_rtm the brilliant duo from popular music label Hai Thong Kham Records.
Ready to work up a sweat? Mark the dates and head to Chatuchak Park 🗓️

Neilson Hayes Library (@neilson.hays.library) is back again with another book sale, and this one’s got prices you simply can’t put down.
Running until May 24, Bangkok’s beloved historic English-language library is once again clearing its shelves, with hundreds – if not thousands – of second-hand books up for grabs at bargain prices.
While it’s not quite the scale of the library’s famous annual fair, the selection still feels near endless, with books starting from just B20. Better yet, staff replenish the shelves daily, meaning no two visits are quite the same and repeat browsing is very much encouraged.
There’s even a Thai book section!
Swing by between 9.30am and 5pm any day until Sunday to stock up your home library or simply grab a fresh read for the daily commute.

Blue Moons always sound more dramatic than they actually are 🌝
Despite the name, the moon on May 31 stays its usual silvery self rather than glowing electric blue across Bangkok’s skyline. Most of those sapphire-toned snaps flooding social media come courtesy of filters and editing apps anyway.
Still, this one earns bragging rights elsewhere. May’s full moon doubles as 2026’s most distant micromoon, appearing slightly smaller as it reaches the furthest point from Earth during its orbit. Start scanning the sky from early evening if the rain clouds behave themselves. Rain clouds may well crash the party, but Bangkok weather changes its mind constantly, so keep watching anyway.
