13 days. 27 shows. 18 different artists. 14 different venues+stages. And all of it was great. I mean that. ALL of it. Every solo, every horn part, every song, every audience member scream, every lift, every moment. Hands down the best Jazz Fest I have ever had the privilege to be a part of, no hesitation, no qualifiers, no notes. It all felt right from start to finish. I don’t know what I did to deserve such a wonderful experience but I am sure as hell grateful for it. Thanks a thousand times over to all the incredible artists I’m so fortunate to work with (Anders and Ivan and Tony and Dumpsta and Maggie and Mia and Benny and the Suspects and!), and thanks just as much to all the people on stage and off who work their asses off night and day to make this the greatest two weeks of music anywhere on earth (I’m looking at you, production and stage crew — and you, audience members who somehow got even less sleep than I did lol). And now! A nap 😴 much love and see you ALL next year. Can’t wait.

Jazz Fest 2026! That’s a WRAP! I took it easy this year, only 23 gigs in 12 days 😬😂 with 18 different artists spread across 16 stages/venues, every single one meaningful and special in its own right. Highlights include my quartet’s set at @louisianamusicfactory, both sets with @andersosborne, Larry Sieberth’s Jazz Fest set ft. @davidfiuczynski, MONSTERS at the @mapleleafnola (with Karl D in the house!), anything and everything involving @ivanneville, @tonyhall504, @ianneville504 and the @dumpstaphunk crew — but who am I kidding, they were all highlights. Grateful to the fans who make this happen for us every year and to the warriors in the crew/support structure who make US happen every year. Y’all the real heroes. And now it’s nap time for me and Naomie and remember, don’t call us we’ll call you 😘
