Class is NOW IN SESSION. Today @elspawk is hosting his Script & Scroll Brush Pen Workshop. He will be teaching the the:
* Foundations of Script structure amd brush control
* Layout amd composition techniques
*Guided repetition and real hand practice
*How to naturally integrate scrollwork into your lettering
*Understanding scroll flow and placement

This isn't just theory-- they'll be putting in real brush pen time and walking away with skills they can actually use.

This is going to be a super fun class, Script lettering with brush pens, even if you already know cursive, this class will teach you how to build up your skill level faster than ever.

🎨🖌💿 All artists, all vinyl records! #FirstFridays at @thirdrailphx for the month of May. Over 60 artists painted on vinyl records. 6pm till 10pm on #GrandAvePHX.

Recorded Bloom by @kristinwesley is a mixed-media wall sculpture, emerging from the wall as a dimensional flower, incorporating manually plasma cut repurposed steel and chromatically reflective vinyl. Grounded by a recording of “Joy to the World”, remnants from past projects layer translucency, color, and light, evolving as the viewer moves and creating a joyous interplay between memory and material. On display at @thirdrailphx ‘s ON THE RECORD show this #firstfriday !! 🌸 🪩 🌱 ✨

On The Record – Vinyl Record Exhibition

On the Record is a group show dedicated to the vinyl record as a canvas.
For this exhibition, we handed out blank-slate vinyl records to over 60 artists across Phoenix and told them to go to work. No specific theme, just a full spectrum everyone’s styles hitting the same circular 12-inch canvas.

All our exhibitions at Third Rail are a culmination of local talent in one spot. Since the whole thing is rooted in record culture, we’ve got an open-format DJ spinning all night to keep the energy right while people browse the wall.

It’s part art gallery, part community hangout, and a full-on tribute to the Vinyl Record culture.
