Some things I've worked on. Poofy sleeve kick since I got this silk-wool blend fabric that was really soft. Ended up using tape on the inside that was shorter than the actual length of the body and the sleeves so the fabric wouldn't bear the brunt of the weight on some points that'd often be under stress. Cause that one definitely tears easily. But it is very soft and it looks nice and gathers nice.

Plus I also got some cotton velveteen which I also used for sleeves with some linen- that I usually always have a rotating supply of.

Then lacing to the pants that flare, so it doesn't open up as high. A shirt that I thrifted that was silk and had a cool collar detail.

Music......?
The Ire

Was listening to their 2022 album, What Dreams May Come and I'm really liking their overall style. Not anything revolutionary but they do what they do well and fills the weakness for jangly guitars and satisfying drums & rythmn section very well. Plus I like the vocalist's kinda dry but also drawn out sound. Flat at times but it adds to the energy imo. Favorite songs are To Sleep, Dirae, and Adventitious.

Sexblood

Similar to the Ire, once again. I really like their guitars and overall composition. Also they've got a good variety in their sound in Intimidating Visions, 2024 album. From slow to fast, gritty to pretty. Hehe. Favorite songs are Walpurgis Night and Meat Wagon

fits, as of post vampire ball

Want to see Soror Dolorosa, Corpus Delicti, And Also The Trees, and Autumn, live, so bad. But they're so far. I just like when they got the nice guitars.

Some concerts I went to and really enjoyed over the past few months
1. New Skeletal Faces (opened for, always a treat to see live, always always always)
2. past self (new material's good development o their sound heh, really likin the esoteric direction)
3. MØAA (opened for, new album Jaywalker's good)
4. Molchat Doma (enjoyed more than I initially expected, I like their new album too, up my alley)
5. Jiluka (Was intrigued, really enjoyed the energy, im not a metalhead in any way but vibes were fun)
6. Wingtips (Like their style, i find their style of darkwave more fun to dance to for me)
7. Alice Glass (Didn't know what the performance would be like considering the music. Was fun)
8. Porter Robinson (Liked the transition between each of his 'eras' so to speak. Fun concert overall. Did he have a live band behind him last time? p sure that's new. neat)

Crocheted a panel and used it as an insert for the side of these pants. It took a while but I like the effect and also it adds a little extra airflow and a little extra decor. I hope I don't have to make repairs to it too soon.

Also ended up with a good find at savers- a linen skirt with these inserts in between the panels. I took it in a bit at the waist and added belt loops, but otherwise it's very nice for the summer. Need to add pockets into the side seams but not in a rush. I don't see nice linen pieces in black all too often, but can't complain about it appearing.

Then found another piece with beading that I liked on silk. The lining was polyester so I removed that and replaced it with tencel and I just need to finish the bottom before it's wearable. Also got another one of these but with all black beading recently too. Another project that's going to mostly be unpicking the lining.

Visited oregon recently :> good for my head. Very nice weather, very nice company.

Been listening to the new Nox Novacula album and the new March Violets album. Both have been feeding me well for the past few weeks. And been feeling Kokushoku Elegy again.

Saw Nox Novacula and Vision Video. Actually going in the list for one of my favorite concerts for this year alongside The Mission.

Nox Novacula sounded Fantastic live- and the energy they (the whole band) brought to the stage was chef's kiss. Third time I've seen em in Vegas and the best so far. Played my favorite song- Victim 🖤🖤. And their new material was also really good live- really liked Cursed. Gotta remember to do some sorta diy to the shirt I got from them about a year ago or two. Discouraged from wearing it because it has.... sleeves.

Vision Video also had a good stage presence and I enjoy their music. Favs for the show were Normalized and Siren's Song. Happy they kept Siren's Song on the setlist. And the frontman there, Dusty, is as charismatic as ever. Really liked what he had to say between sets. Miss the bassist, but can't be helped sometimes. Also the thirst trap calendar at the merch table was hilarious.

anyway im a sucker for goth guitar n bass, that's not new. Great night, great show. Hopped on over to Swandive after to wind down and get some dancing in. Can't complain.

Saw The Mission, Nuovo Testamento, and Social Order. It was a great show. (Mm delicious, Garden of Delight <3)

Still thinking about it. I guess I shouldn't be surprised I enjoyed their show as much as I enjoy listening to em.
