Tariq Ali, Animation Director and Founder of ZANAD, shared his take on inspiration during his interview at Sharjah Animation Conference

For him, inspiration isn’t tied to a screen or a single source.. it could be a memory from childhood, or something you notice in the world around you right now.
It’s not about where you look… but how open you are to seeing.

And his advice to every artist and animator:

Sketch. Then sketch again.
Before you know the industry, and long after you’re deep in it… sketching is where it all begins, and what keeps you grounded.
