That relationship matters because we spend more time with clients than anyone else in their hair care journey.
With proper education, stylists can help clients better preserve their styles, better care for their scalp at home, better understand tension, ingredients, maintenance, and when something may need a referral to a board-certified dermatologist. That’s why education matters.
S.T.R.A.N.D. continues to focus on giving licensed beauty professionals access to evidence-based hair loss education and conversations with board-certified dermatologists so we can better support the people sitting in our chairs every day.

Anita Hill Moses @anitarestoreshair is a salon owner in Richmond, Virginia, focusing on locs and natural hairstyling. She’s been working in natural hair since the 1990s and has a product line called @nhr_restoreshairwhich has sponsored every STRAND event since it began! Anita is known for helping with hair thinning and loss and is encouraging stylists to keep learning beyond cosmetology school, including upcoming events like STRAND San Francisco.

Today from 2 PM to 5 PM, licensed cosmetologists and beauty professionals will gather to engage in critical discussions on hair loss, scalp care education, referral pathways, and real client experiences.

Check your email for the link to submit your questions in advance so we can address what matters most to you during the session.

Online registration is still open. On-site registration may be difficult due to limited seating, so registering now is strongly recommended. Arrive early to find parking and check in smoothly. We have an 80 attendee MAX, and 76 registered!!
