Never did I imagine I’d be making a post like this, but here we go.
This October I’ll be stepping up to the start line at Mammoth — a 214 mile race through the Eastern Sierras.

This will be my first ultramarathon ever, and I couldn’t have picked a better one. After volunteering there last year and being around the course, the mountains, the volunteers, the runners, and the atmosphere, I knew I had to come back and be part of it in a different way.

By doing this I’m chasing something bigger than just finishing — I’m chasing the feeling of pushing myself further than I ever thought I was capable of.

I started running last year… and yeah, going for a 200 before a 100 sounds crazy, I know. But I’ve been putting in the work and I hope to be ready. So go big or go home, right?

🥹 « @ray_ray_runner Guess what I did. I signed up for the Mammoth 200. Fully inspired while listening to the Choose Strong podcast. Listening to Sally, describe and talk about the course and watching the youtube video. Plus I already have a love for Mammoth. So it only made sense for this to be my next great adventure. Back in November before my dad passed away. He told me I can run as far as I want to. Well, I want to run 200 miles.

Nearly two years ago, I began the journey of building @themammoth200 alongside @timtollefson. What followed was an ambitious, challenging, and deeply rewarding process that culminated in a wild and unforgettable Year One — made possible only by the countless volunteers and community members who poured their time, energy, and belief into it.

Through that process, I’ve also been reminded that dreams evolve, just like we do. What once felt like the right next step can shift as life unfolds. In order to keep making space for the work and experiences that truly light me up, I’ve learned that sometimes I have to let go of others — even the ones I’m incredibly proud of.

Stepping away from race directing wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one that feels honest and aligned with where I need to go next. I’ll always be proud of what we built, grateful for the people who helped build it, and excited to cheer on the future of theMAMMOTH from the sidelines.
