The Burning Hell
🏰👻 Ghost Palace 🪐💫

It’s been four magical weeks of touring “Everything Is Great” around Ireland, Germany and the UK with @carsieblanton @_joeplo_ and @arielsharratt …. The only way it could have gone better would be if we’d finally succeeded in overthrowing capitalism by the end (but you can’t say we didn’t try, and it just means we’ll have to do it again).
This has been such a natural and joyful collaboration that it’s impossible to believe we didn’t even know each other until a short while ago. We have the exact same hobbies and interests (dogs, swimming in the sea, class war) and you couldn’t ask for more generous, supportive, creative and truly kind people to share a van, a studio and a stage with.
This isn’t the end for this project - in fact we’ll be doing a one-off special version of this show back where we all met at the @sourisshowhall on June 16 before we back up Carsie and Joe for a handful of dates supporting @billybraggofficial around the Maritimes. And we have another big announcement coming soon, plus some ambitious plans involving puppets and possibly castles. Stay tuned here and especially on Patreon for more news, early access and peeks behind-the-scenes.
Thanks to everyone who helped put this tour together and came to the gigs! You probably knew this already, but what you saw on those stages was a group of new friends having the time of their lives.

We’re kicking off our collaborative tour with @carsieblanton today in Berlin at @frannz_club For the next three and a half weeks we’ll be shouting down the techno-fascist warmongers and also making lots of jokes and (hopefully) new friends. Come join us! UK dates are mostly sold out, but the show has been moved to a bigger venue in Edinburgh and there are still tickets to be had for Berlin, Hamburg, and select Irish dates.
Live, laugh, love, overthrow capitalism. ✌️
“Price Of Eggs”, from our brand new album “Everything Is Great!”. Out now everywhere!!
A meticulously documented political journey.
Written by @theburninghellband , @carsieblanton, and @_joeplo_. @thecurleyorgan on clarinet and various doohickeys. Mixed and mastered by @dougraus, special thanks to @fjkilkelly .
Video directed by @thehumanbeastbox, DP @dougraus , puppets by @theletterjess , puppeteers @sperocor and Z!

Closed City, a collaborative project by Mathias Kom and Michael Cloud Duguay, release their self titled album today. The album takes as its subject the Soviet-era closed cities — deliberately isolated settlements removed from official maps, built around military and industrial operations, their residents sworn to secrecy. Duguay’s music draws on experimental metal, drone, musique concrète, and low brass arrangements; Kom’s lyrics construct an unnamed city whose inhabitants have long forgotten why they are there.

EVERYTHING IS GREAT! Out now on all platforms! A song for those who sit around and talk about what we should do if the President’s insane and starting WWIII and we’re living in a death cult and everybody knows that L**gi was right.
Big ups to @_joeplo_ @arielsharratt @dougraus for the song, and to @thehumanbeastbox @shiftyshepherd, @sperocor @theletterjess and more for the video, puppets, and puppeteering.

EVERYTHING IS GREAT will be out April 1st. The titular single drops tomorrow!!!
Sometimes the stars align, and in a venue’s secret kitchen on a Canadian island, over a bottle of cheap wine, you meet your creative soulmates: the two other people on earth who are equipped emotionally and spiritually to write a FUNNY album about imperialism, private equity, late-stage capitalism, and what it feels like to be alive in the pre-revolutionary period. (It feels like everything is great! 🫠)
In a couple weeks, we’ll be on tour together hocking this album in Germany, the UK, and Ireland. Tickets going fast:

Here’s a photo from a recording session almost two decades ago, long before we owned a microphone stand. Now we have two! And we’ll be using both this Wednesday March 18 (4:30pm Atlantic, 7:30pm GMT) when we go live on the internet, playing some requests, a couple covers, and some songs we’re debuting on tour this spring. This will be hosted on Patreon (link in bio) and you can sign up for free. See you there!

VENUE UPGRADE! Due to demand, @theburninghellband show has now moved to La Belle Angele from The Mash House, Edinburgh. All tickets remain valid!! More tickets now available from seetickets.com / tickets-scotland.com 🎟️🎟️
