Casa Sur is now open on Bend’s west side off of Century Dr.

They hosted us for lunch and we tried the Costillas de Puerco Al Chipotle (short ribs in a chipotle sauce - delicious) and the ridiculously good Molcajete del Sur (hot stone bowl filled with veggies, meat, & seafood and served with fresh made corn tortillas). While they did cover the lunch these opinions are all our own and I’d happily go back again (and order a pitcher of margaritas…to share, of course).

The Old Mill officially has a bookstore as @dudleysbookshopoldmill has opened for business. You can find them between Lululemon and Will Leather Goods.

They still have their downtown location, as well, so now you have two spots to pick out your new favorite book for summer.

Here’s what’s happening this week in Bend.

Bend’s brand new library will be opening its doors to the public on Monday, May 11th at 9AM. We were invited to take an early look around and this space is sure to be a hit.

The new library features an entire floor dedicated to kids, a maker space, Thump Coffee, coworking space, private meeting/work rooms, books (of course), and much, much more.

The Bend Farmers Market is back for another season. This might’ve been the best opening day yet as we were able to pick up strawberries, peas, cucumbers, turnips, herbs, fish, pastries, greens, and more!
